I have used both the Park BBT-9 and this Pedro's Shimano Integrated Bottom Bracket Wrench (for external cups) a while and have to lean toward the Pedro's. I like the weight and the fact it's only a BB wrench vs the Park. When cranking down on the cups, the park tool is uncomfortable since my palm is cranking against the never used lock-ring tool (black notched plastic) vs the Pedro's that has a nice rubber handle. Perfect choice for the home or pro mechanic.
My Trek full suspension MTB requires the use of this tool because of the design of the linkage system. The Park fully closed tool would never work and this is a must have for frames that bulge out around the bottom bracket area.
