Thermal Cycling Tight

Colder mornings have come again, and you need to consider which go-to layer you’ll rely on to see you through until spring. With a warm thermal layer and a touch of water-resistance, the Pearl Izumi Thermal Cycling Tight affords the confidence you need in all but the most formidable winter riding conditions. Pearl Izumi’s recycled thermal fleece layer creates next-to-skin comfort, and the PI Dry water-shedding treatment repels mist and light rain. Overall the tight has been reduced in seams and required paneling to create a lighter and freer riding experience without sacrificing warmth. Stretch fabric also is utilized to rid the tight of the traditional calf-zipper in favor of an ergonomic, streamlined fit. And underneath is Pearl Izumi’s trusted and durable ELITE Escape 1:1 chamois to comfortably support hours of critical winter-base training.

Great for Winter Temperatures

I recently purchased these pants to ride in winter temperatures (30-40 degrees). Tried them out this weekend with temperatures of 35 degrees and with winds of 15 mph. Stayed nice and warm for the 3 hour ride. Fit is snug and not have the calf zipper is not an issue. As noted with other reviews the chamois is WAY TOO BIG. PI needs to revisit this design. Not a deal breaker but feels very strange. I would recommend to anyone looking for a warmth in the winter.

I really like these pants. I wanted long pants with a chamois without going the bib route and these work nicely. Fits well and these things are very warm. I did a mountain bike ride in 30 degree, snowing conditions and my legs were nice and toasty. Only thing I don't like is the chamois is wide in the front and back. It could be much smaller. Not a big deal when riding but they feel odd to walk in and when in the car. Besides that, I like them and would probably buy them again.
