Great cold weather pants with a catch.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
36
Height:
5' 11"
Weight:
210

UPDATE: After using these a couple of times I realized the waist is a joke. It is really big with no way to tighten it up. The pants are amazing. They block wind, are warm, water resistant, and are exactly what I was looking for. The waist is so poorly designed it is hard to believe PI let this go. The issue is they have two small Velcro tabs on the side. They at the very least need to be twice as big/long as they are with stronger Velcro. The waist has no elastic and no belt loops. You cannot get the waist to stay up. I guess if you sized down a lot and made it so your legs are just being compressed then the waist may work. But that really isn't the reason you are buying pants like these versus tights. I've come up with three solutions. One: use suspenders- I bought some sport suspenders on Amazon and am going to try that first. Two: go to a tailor and have belt loops added. Three: have the tailor add elastic to the back. I am hoping I don't have to get belt loops added, but I may. I hope in version 2.0 they figure the waist out because these pants could be five stars, but right now they are three. Many reviews say these run really big. That is only true if you are a "skinny cyclist". I find they run more like jeans. I have huge legs, a big butt, and skinny waist. My waist measures 34 and I always wear loose/relaxed fitting size 36 jeans to get over my legs and butt. I ordered a size 36 for these. The waist is a loose and it only has really small Velcro straps to cinch it down. The legs fit perfectly and there is room to tuck in layers. I think they nailed the sizing for "normies". If you are a typical skinny cyclist then you should look to size down 1 or 2 sizes. If you normally wear loose or relaxed pants they are true to size.

Sizing an issue, but really great pants!

Size Bought:
28
Height:
5' 10"
Weight:
158

Sizing is WAAAYY big I'm about a 32", thought about a 30", then read more reviews, went two full sizes smaller, to a 28"?! And happy I did, sizing is perfect now, but is 3 to 4 inches off on the waist, can't wait for some some snow and colder temps!! Really nice fit, made out some really great material, I have some Bib tights made out of this AmFib Material, good into the single digits for a few hours, tried and tested many times, Pi just works for me

Ready to ditch tights and shorts?

This is definitely a better way to ride trail in the winter. Tights with a built in chamois and your summer riding shorts on top? Nah those days are over. This is way less restrictive but still tight enough to move on the bike and they look good without shorts. Biggest issue is from the fit in the pelvis they should fit better around the waist. I?ve never bought anything below a 34? this is the first 32? waist I?ve bought and they still are loose. The size is way off and needs to be improved but they are on to something. Pair these with your favorite winter riding boots and your set for teen temps
