Escape Sugar Cycling 3/4-Tight
We covet spring days on the bike, with their warming sunshine, cool breeze, and staggering views as mountainsides are speckled with wildflowers blossoming — but, we admit, their weather can be a little unpredictable. When you're not quite sure just how toasty the shady canyon descent will be, we find it best to reach for the Pearl Izumi Women's Escape Sugar Cycling 3/4 Tight for a little extra coverage to take the breeze off of your knees, and a soft cushion for your sit bones to keep rolling over mountain passes and into lush green valleys below.
Fashioned from Pearl's SELECT Transfer Dry fabric, the Escape Sugar 3/4 Tights set the benchmark for compression, hugging your muscles gently for support, while its fibers pull away sweat to keep you dry and comfortable after strenuous efforts up steep climbs. They are built with a wide, yoga-style waistband that locks in place at your waist comfortably, while the bottom hems stay secured with silicone grippers. Gracing your sit bones with plush support is the Women's specific SELECT Escape 1:1 chamois, tapered for support where we need it, and pressure relief specific to our anatomy. A smooth and soft face fabric on the chamois aims to reduce irritation, and a blended edge-free cushion reduces chaffing. Should your springtime spin take you out further, or a little later than expected, BioViz elements adorning the calves illuminate under headlights to keep you visible in low lighting for a safe ride home.

Tiny. These are even smaller than another pair of PIzumi crops I got maybe 18 months ago - which are snug in not being very stretchy - but still quite wearable - I cant even get these on enough to tell if the chamois will be any good, but am doubtful as it doesn't have any definition to it. Too bad bc I like the overall look...

I’m a small, size 0-2 depending on the store so I ordered a size small. I immediately knew, just form taking from the package, that this would not fit, they were tiny. I even looked at the tag to see if May be I go a kids small. Nope. That’s their size. The waist is the size of my thighs. I can’t even get it to pass my calf. What a disappointment.

DONâT DO IT!
Despite warnings from the other reviewer, I decided to give these a go. Theyâd probably be good enough for spin class, right? Wrong. Theyâre awful. You might as well take a washcloth and stick it in a pair of decent quality capris. Prior to this I regarded Pearl Izumi as a respectable cycling brand. Major bummer.

Comfy
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
These were my girlfriend's first pair of cycling tights and she loves them. They fit great and the chamois provides just enough padding without being intrusive.

Save your money. The chamois is terrible. I get pain after riding for 2 hours.
