PEARL iZUMiSelect Liner Short - Men's
Item # PLZ00LU
Select Liner Short
Take your favorite shorts and transform them into your new go-to cycling short. Whether it's busting out some dawn patrol hot-laps, the commute to work, or a quick trip for some java, you can instantly add a chamois providing much-needed comfort between yourself and the saddle. In addition to the chamois, you'll receive moisture management and support that only comes with a pair of form-fitting cycling shorts. Pick up some Pearl Izumi Select Liner Shorts and have the versatility to decide what you want to wear over it.
For the main construction of these shorts, Pearl Izumi uses a blend of polyester and elastane creating what is known as Transfer Mesh. The polyester fibers help reduce the weight of the material and combined with the perforated pattern offer a high-level of moisture management. Elastane offers four-way stretch for comfort and support. Transfer Mesh also helps prevent overheating while wearing them under a shell short. You'll remain relatively dry during your ride and much more comfortable than going sans chamois. On the lower legs, Transfer fabric is designed so shell shorts glide without friction while pedaling.
These and all liner shorts for that matter fit like second skin. Smooth fabric and minimal seams are used throughout eliminating any potential for chafing and rubbing, while a wide waistband provides support and keeps the shorts in place without excessive pressure on the midsection.
For the insert, Pearl Izumi went with the Select Escape 1:1 Chamois. The padding is greatly appreciated on rides short and long and it too helps transfer moisture while preventing odor leaving you dry and comfortable.
The Pearl Izumi Select Liner Shorts are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.
- Upgraded any short to a cycling short with this liner
- Comfortable chamois provides padding and transfer moisture
- Form-fitting cut adds support and reduces friction
- Mesh main body construction is lightweight and breathes

This is a very comfortable liner. They look and feel great. It's a shame having them buried under a pair of shorts or joggers on my casual day rides. They fit true to size.

A well built liner with good padding, lightweight fabric (almost a mesh) and great fit to my size. I also bought the Backcountry liner which has considerably less padding than the Pearl Izumi. Wish I’d bought two of these.

I was worried that wearing these would feel like a diaper. They don’t. It’s like they aren’t there at all. I did a moderate 8 mile ride with these for the first time and was worried they might rub or be annoying. I forgot I had them on until the ride was over and has a noticeable improvement and soreness (like none at all). I wore these under a pair of Columbia hiking shorts and was amazed at how little I noticed them and how much better they made my ride and my post ride soreness. I highly recommend these.

I have one of my bikes set up at work so i can ride while Im working if i know Im going to be working late. These shorts work great for under my jeans all day and perfect for riding at the office. I would have no issue taking them on some Mountain biking trips either. True to size, i have a 30

Keeps you cool

Great value liners. Mesh zones give added breathability and keep you cool under MTB shorts. Chamois is comfortable and good for the price.

Comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Large fits well at 5'11, 160 lbs. Initially, they bunched up a bit, but after a couple of washes, the fit is perfect. Padding is comfortable, but not excessively bulky. Fabric is lightweight and and comfortable on warm weather rides.

I recently got a set of unlined MTB shorts just to tool around on my old Stumpjumper. The Pearl Izumi liner was recommended and I'm very pleased with its comfort and performance. Very well made and a solid option when you don't want to wear your road bib shorts on a ride but you want the comfort of a chamois with unlined shorts. Great solution.

I see why these are so popular
I am thrilled with these liners. While they are a bit less comfortable when not on my bike, they are much more comfortable than other liners when I am on my bike. That is a sacrifice I am willing to make 10x out of 10. I love the mesh and can feel heat escape as I ride. If you need some liners, get these

I like these as an option under regular pants or shorts. They have large mesh panels. The pad is nice and doesn’t flatten out too badly over time. I especially appreciate there’s no silicone strip around the thigh because those irritate me and I’m not sure they’re even necessary. They seem well-made, sizing is accurate. They’re perfect for days when riding isn’t the only activity and I’ll feel like a fool dressed like Sagan.
