My first set of bib shorts. I am a pretty big guy so I thought these might feel confining but they fit great. Not to tight, yet snug enough to give that compression. The leg length is good and not too short with nice grip around the edge. The straps do have a tendency to roll but it doesn’t get uncomfortable. A good value for the money.

No fancy over-the-top pad with weird contours. Works very well for my bum.

These have been great for me. I plan on buying another one to replace older shorts. Fit seems true to size (tight but not too tight).

Although I've been a fan of Pearl Izumi for a long time, I am not very impressed with these bibs. I got them to add to my Performance Ultra bibs purchased several years ago and assumed the PIs would be as good, if not better. Unfortunately, they are not as good. It seems that brand and quality don't always go hand in hand. The price of bibs has shot through the roof, but the quality has not. My beefs...the shoulder straps are quite thin and easily roll up when putting them on and then have to be untwisted. Material overall is thinner than other shorts, and I hope it's durable. The pad is a one piece spongey pad that seems like one I've seen in off brand bibs. Time will tell if I grow to like these more than my old Performance bibs, but I remain baffled at the price increase on decent bibs.

Really nice attention to detail on these $100 shorts. The chamois is of the micro-felt variety (in that there's a very slight nap) which I think is way more comfortable in the long run (better moisture absorption and doesn't move around). The actual bib section is really nice material, and I like that there isn't seam binding on the straps - they really disappear on the ride. These don't have the wider leg grippers, but I haven't had any slippage issues and the "tension" (??) seems correct. I'm 5'10/168lbs and the medium fits really well. The inseam hits not too low or too high. I liked these enough that I bought a second pair. The navy color looks awesome.

Not a fan of the straps
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I've used the bibs a couple of times and the straps don't stay flat over the neck/shoulders section. Having to adjust them during the ride is annoying

Run a bit small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it

Bought these in a MEDIUM based on the fit of my Pursuit Attack Bibs (not to be confused with just Attack Bib...). These were about a size too small. Might have gotten away with the legs being a tad tight, but the suspenders were just too short, even in a cycling position. Otherwise, seem like the decent product I've always had from Pearl Izumi.

Rode 70 miles on gravel roads with 5000 feet of climbing this past Sunday. Shorts performed very well. Wasn't sure about Raw Edge on straps, but did not even realize they were there. Outstanding shorts!!

I prefer bib shorts for mtb and have owned several and find Pearlizumi to be high quality. These are no different and have quality design, comfortable chamois and fit well. I was initially surprised at the apparent light contruction of the shoulder straps thinking it would not be comfortable but find the opposite after using them on several rides - the lack of stiching and excess fabric makes them more comfortable and I don't notice them under the hydration backpack. These are light weight, heavy duty, no-nonsense bibs.
