I haven't touched as ISIS bottom bracket in years, but this tool is what you need to change the direct mount ring on a RaceFace Cinch crank. The 32C variant is best used with a large crescent wrench or a vice. The 22C option has a 3/8 socket fitment.
There were only a few times I had ever used a Shimano/ISIS BB tool in my bike mechanic days and that was just to remove old, stubborn bottom brackets. Now though, it's got a new job. Instead of creating a new, proprietary tool for the installation and removal of Direct-Mount chainrings on Cinch interface cranks, RaceFace simply cut the direct-mount lock-rings to work with the BBT-22C tool. I'm happy to see a dusty tool get a new use.
