SG-7.2 Oversized Adjustable Saw Guide

Planning on cutting aero or standard tube shapes? Then you'll be needing the Park Tools SG-7 Oversized Adjustable Saw Guide — that is unless jagged edges and sloppy cuts are your kind of thing. We're hoping that's not the case, though. With Park Tool on your side, you'll accurately slice through steerer tubes from 1-1/4 to 1-1/2-inch, integrated seatposts, and any airfoil shape up to 3.5 inches. Contact pads are included to protect tubes and frames, so you won't scratch the areas that you want intact.

Worked as should

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It held what I needed to cut securely. Pretty straight forward for a first-time cutter.

Used a Ton, this is the One

I've put it through the wringer

In my years as a Bike Tech, I used many versions of Park guides and other brands and this is the one I choose for my home bench. The dual slits allow the use of multiple blade types and the clamp range allows you to cut anything from aero seat posts to standard handlebars. The clamps leave no markings the guide slit tolerances are good enough to guide you through a nice straight cut. This thing can be locked in a vise or to a handlebar still on the bike. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to trim their bars or steerer tube.

Super versatile

I've used it several times

I use this to cut bars, posts, steer tubes, and the like. It also works great for aero seatposts or seat masts, and also works great for standard round. Definitely a great purchase.

The best option for cutting steer tubes

I've put it through the wringer

Some people use pipe cutters to cut their steer tubes which is fine on metals but if you run into carbon, this is the best saw guide you can buy. I use it around the house for whatever - cutting wooden dowels, cutting pipe, steer tubes, etc.
