Description

A big-time little guy.

Fill up the included 2.5-liter Hydraulics reservoir, grab a windbreaker and some snacks, and take your enduro bike out for a rip with the Osprey Syncro 3 Hydration Backpack. This pack has just enough room for the essentials and is fitted with a front tool organizer (not that anything on your bike would ever break). A LidLock helmet attachment comes in handy when you're out of the saddle, and the integrated rain cover is especially convenient when that light wisp of clouds over yonder quickly turns into a menacing thunderhead.

  • Front panel access
  • 100D nylon fabrics

How to Measure:
For best results, have someone take the measurement for you.
Torso:
Start at the iliac crest (the top of your hipbone that you can feel like a shelf on the side of your body). From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down. Make sure to keep your back straight while having the measurement taken.
Hip:
Measure around your hips, at your iliac crest, not your waist.

Another great Osprey pack!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Osprey has the best bite valve and water pack of any pack I’ve ever used. They have an outstanding warranty in case any parts happen to break. I will never buy anything other than Osprey!

Good but needs some design tweaks

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this pack to replace my Camelbak Rogue which was an ok pack for mnt biking but definitely has issues with its ability to hold water! It leaked from the bite valve and from the main closure. After three leaky packs, I'm done with Camelbak! The Osprey Syncro is a nice pack. The hydration system is excellent. No leaking! There are a few things that I would change. The main pocket on the front is just big enough to hold a couple of bars and maybe a multi-tool but not big enough for bars, tool, tube and your phone. I would sacrifice .5L of water for a little more storage especially since 2L of water is more than adequate for most rides. I would also nix the waist belt. The belt is overkill when you already have shoulder straps and a chest strap to hold the pack in place. When you are hunched over a bike the belt is uncomfortable. At the very least it should be removable. I plan to cut the belt off of mine. The frame that keeps the pack off of your back is a very nice feature. I also like the magnet on the bite valve that keeps it on the chest strap for easy access.

Brian, great feedback - thank you! I will pass it on.

Enjoy -

My Favorite Hydration Pack!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is not the largest hydration pack available on the market, but it is perfect for me! I typically use this pack for moderate length to long hikes and it serves me perfectly. It is crafted extremely well and I have not encountered any issues!

By far the best designed

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

"This pack is awesome! I've had experience with other hydration packs but never one made by Osprey. It is by far the best designed one I've ever had the opportunity to try. The zip locking reservoir makes it easy to fill and easy to close, unlike the tired screw caps that always spill your water and require three hands to close. The airspeed back panel lets your back breath and keeps it from getting sweaty which is much appreciated, especially on urban hikes in the city. The waist locking belt to keep the pack in place is killer for dancing at music festivals and the magnetic mouth piece keeps it close by and free of sand and dirt. I definitely recommend this pack and can't wait to take it out for a hike or a bike ride."

Perfect for Mountain Biking/Light Hikes!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I recently got super into MTB. I realized pretty quickly that I needed a pack to hold valuables and keep me hydrated over longer rides. I tried 6 different packs from several brands and ended up going with the osprey for a few reasons. First the Air Back system does a great job of keeping you cool during the rides by providing great airflow. Second, the pack has just the right amount of space and pocket design to hold exactly what you would need out on the trail (snacks/phone/parktool). Also has the added benefit of being able to hold downhill knee pads so you don't have to pedal with them on the ride up. Lastly, the magnetic bite valve holder secures the hydration tube to your chest so it's not bouncing all around during the ride. Fantastic pack for the money!

Great review George - thank you! Glad you love your Syncro!

Happy Trails!

One of many

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have several Osprey Hydration packs and love them all equally for their different purposes. The other packs I have are quite a bit larger than the Syncro 3. But, for those hikes and rides that don't require tools and spares, this does a great job. It has enough storage space for a snack and maybe a very light pocket jacket and keeps the bulk to a minumum.

The Syncro is great for a small and simple hydration solution. Thanks for the review, Marc!

Gotta Love Osprey

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this as a gift for my mom, she recently started biking so she needed a solid hydration pack. Her favorite feature is the AirSpeed Back Panel. It does a great job of keeping your back dry, and along with the suspension system doesn't put a strain on your back. For her the size is perfect not too big, but has enough space to put small items in for a hike or ride. So far so good with this pack!
