Description

Skarab 18L Backpack

Exploring new and familiar trails just got easier with Osprey's Skarab 18 Hydration Pack. With a minimalist design, the Skarab 18 is great for light and fast day hikes, mountain biking, and around town wear, while the addition of a foam framesheet with center stiffener makes the Skarab capable of comfortable carrying up to twenty-five pounds.

The main compartment is easily accessed through the front zippered panel, and the stretch side pockets are great for stashing water bottles—although, the included 2.5-liter hydration reservoir is typically capable of carrying all the water you'll need for a full day in the mountains. Osprey kept the look and design of the Skarab streamlined, with just two side compression straps and a front bungee cord that can be used to secure everything from light layers to trekking poles.

  • Technical pack for all-day adventures in the mountains
  • Foam framesheet with center stiffener provides structure
  • Biostretch harness conforms to your shape for comfort
  • Mesh lined back panel and shoulder straps offer airflow
  • Reservoir sleeve with 2.5L bladder included for hydration
  • Stretch side pockets organize small items
  • Side compression straps collpse excess space
  • Front bungee straps secure an extra layer
  • Trekking pole carry lets you go hands-free

How to Measure:
For best results, have someone take the measurement for you.
Torso:
Start at the iliac crest (the top of your hipbone that you can feel like a shelf on the side of your body). From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down. Make sure to keep your back straight while having the measurement taken.
Hip:
Measure around your hips, at your iliac crest, not your waist.
