Thoughtfully Engineered
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Everything on this backpack was thought out to perfection. From the integrated zipper on the strap that keeps the hydration bladder hose in place to the helmet strap that works flawlessly, this backpack is perfect for mild cross country or bombing down crazy gnar. I wear this pack on every ride, hot or cold weather, and it never disappoints.
Bite Valve Needs Work
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is my 6th Osprey backpack for MTB. The packs are awesome, sensible compartments, comfortable for 3-4 hour rides and a good looking design. The fail comes into play with the bite valves, They begin leaking after only a short time of use, so be sure to keep spares in stock. Yes, they can twist and lock, but not an easy task to unlock the valve when both hands are on the bars while riding. So much for on the go hydration. This is a known issue and long overdue for Osprey to remedy.
Best, hands down, for the guys

Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack

Sweet little day pack when you don't need to carry tons of gear. Comfortable, quality workmanship and somewhat breathable on hot days. I've used mine for MTB, all seasons for day hiking as well as foreign travel. I typically carry an extra layer, tools, pump, snack, a small first aid kit along with the H2O bladder 50/50 ice/water (in summer). This is my Go-To pack on outings for the foreseeable future.
Excellent pack for cycling

I love everything about Osprey MTB Packs! I had no idea how much I would like them until I used one! Pockets are ideal, there are two hip pockets for a phone and snacks, and everything is balanced, well thought out, and doesn't put the weight high! BUY IT!!
Perfect Bike Pack
I got this for my husband and he is SO stoked to use it every time we bike. Room for everything you should need - tools, jacket, snacks, and a great hydration system.
Perfect trail backpack
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I love ospreys packs, and this one is no exception. I mainly use this pack for hiking and it works great. Plenty of room for a headlamp, a few bars and a light raincoat. This pack is really designed with the mountain biker in mind, with a helmet holder clip and a small roll out toolkit in the bottom of the bag, which is rad! As I get more into mountain biking, im sure i will appreciate those features more and more, but for now it works perfect as a hiking backpack. The zipper access to the water resevoir is awesome, keeping you from having to route the hose through a little hole in the back of the pack. One zipper and the whole thing comes right out!
Awesome MTB pack
I have this pack in the women's version. I bought this one for my boyfriend and he is really enjoying it. There is ample space for snacks and tools. The chest and waist straps are very comfortable, adjustable and not constricting.
Perfect Pack!

I bought this pack for a friend and he has had nothing but good things to say about it. The thing he liked the most about this pack was the size. He has used it for biking and hiking and has found that it has just enough room for a days worth of gear.
This pack is awesome!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've been biking with this pack for about a month now and have no complaints. It is super breathable on my back and can hold so many items inside. The water reservoir is a great design as well. Really easy to fill with water even when you are in a hurry. This pack is perfect for hiking too.
The perfect bike pack
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this pack as my mountain biking pack. Perfect size to fit a bladder and water for full day rides with a few tools and snacks as well!
Nice bag
This bag is perfect for mountain biking
Great pack for Mountain Biking
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This pack is a perfect size to carry everything I need for a day on the trails. The tool roll out is a great addition as well. The pack will also work great for hiking 14'ers.
best hydration pack for biking
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Perfect size to fit a lot of water and a few tools and snacks without being bulky at all. The magnetic feature to keep the drinking hose in place and not banging all over the place. It fits a 3L bladder which more than enough for most rides. The detachable tool pack is also a really nice feature. Get this pack if you want to ride those long days!
Don't leave home (camp) without it
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
When I bought the Osprey 10L I had some apprehension about its size. After almost 5 years using the pack I couldn't be happier. It will fit an astonishing amount when you set out for those 20+ mile rides and I NEVER leave without it when going on a day hike, regardless the length. Concerts, running errands around town, skiing, and distance running, this pack does, and holds it all. I only recently had to send it in to (finally) get repaired. Thanks Osprey!
Awesome
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This pack has room for all the essentials, and then some. The helmet clip is incredibly convenient, and the water supply is seemingly endless. Couple that with a breathable back panel and super comfortable straps and you've got the total package. I've never ridden with it more than 30 miles at once so I don't think it was too heavy.
Heavy on long bike rides
There are a lot of high quality features about this pack. You can tell a lot of thought went in to what pouches go where, and the overall design of the bag. For example, a bike tool pouch that you can remove off the bag and have all your tools ready to be used. Iâm not going to give it a perfect review though because on long technical bike rides (I just took it on a 50 miles technical ride) itâll bust your back in half. There probably isnât really a solution to a sore back on a long ride, but people who wore the osprey fanny packs seemed to do a lot better with back pain.
