Description

Versatile day hiker.

Big enough to handle an all-day excursion when you're traveling light, yet also compact and lightweight enough for shorter jaunts, the Osprey Women's Mira 26 Hydration Pack offers the versatility needed to handle any length of day hike. It includes a 2.5 liter reservoir to handle your hydration needs on long treks, and its Anti-Gravity suspension system supports and stabilizes your load so you barely even notice you're wearing a pack.

The Anti-Gravity suspension system uses a combination of different design elements—a LightWire frame, mesh back panel, BioStretch shoulder harness, and AG hip belt—to distribute weight, enhance breathability, and achieve a comfortable fit, no matter far you roam. The included reservoir also has a hose with a magnetic sternum strap bite valve so you can take quick sips on the go. The main compartment offers room for an extra layer, lunch, and other trail accessories, and dual upper and lower compression straps help you keep your load compact. A helmet attachment loop lets you hook up your brain bucket when you go on climbing or biking missions, and the integrated rain cover can be easily deployed when an unexpected storm rolls in.

  • High-tenacity and ripstop fabrics

  • BioStretch shoulder harness
  • AG hip belt
  • Includes Hydralics LT 2.5L reservoir with bite valve
  • Dual upper and lower compression straps

How to Measure:
For best results, have someone take the measurement for you.
Torso:
Start at the iliac crest (the top of your hipbone that you can feel like a shelf on the side of your body). From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down. Make sure to keep your back straight while having the measurement taken.
Hip:
Measure around your hips, at your iliac crest, not your waist.

Mira AG 26L Review

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this pack before my first major hike (Machu PIcchu) which was 4 days in total. This pack is exceptional and worked wonderfully for the hike. I had plenty of room for essentials and smaller compartments allowed me to find thinks like chapstick, electrolyte tablets etc. easily. I have a small frame (around 5ft) and the only setback for me was reaching the pockets that rest on the hips (short arms). Opening them was easy but closing was a little difficult with the angle. The top of the bladder (area that clips in to the pack) also broke on the very first day which was a bummer. That part is plastic so I'm really not surprised. I also had issues with the mouthpiece to the bladder constantly being exposed to dirt or anything on the ground whenever i set it down. The area where the bladder sits is well protected, but still be careful about jostling it around. Minus those few minor setbacks, the pack is absolutely wonderful and i would still recommend it. In 4 days i had temps ranging from 14 degrees F to 80 degrees F and the airflow the pack allows on your back is a godsend. I was also able to keep my gopro strapped on one of my arm straps for easy access to photos. The rain poncho is great too. Again, I took this on a pretty rigorous hike as a fairly inexperienced hiker and it satisfied almost all of my needs! I wanted to write an honest review, don't be scared away by it. Please by this pack you wont regret it!

Carrie, thank you so much for your review. What a great pack for that hike! I am sorry about any difficulty you had with the pack and want to remind you that Osprey has an AMG, All Mighty Guaranty, and they will fix any issue at no charge. If they cannot fix it, they will send you a new pack!

Enjoy your Mira!

In Love with Osprey's AG Frame

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

If you have not bought a backpack before, going with Osprey's Ag (Anti Gravity) frame is a no brainer. The frame pulls away from your back to let your back breathe and not get too sweaty on those long summer hikes- while giving great support. I have this pack along with the AG Aura 60L and I wouldn't get another pack without this style frame, it makes all the difference in comfort. As for the pockets on the pack, the only thing that is missing in the 26L is the exterior storage in between the two zippered compartments...The 32L offers that, but the 26L, however does not. I really liked that feature about the 32L, but 32L was just too big for a day pack, but the 26L does have the outermost compartment that you can shove a thin windbreaker or sweatshirt in without having to unzip...but its just smaller then the extra compartment the 32L offers....other than that the bag is awesome, also coming with its own water bladder, which is 2.5L is a great included feature.

Lauren, thank you for the great review! Enjoy!
