Mountain bike rims are diverse, to say the least. From materials, to cross-sections, to widths, there are many options. Orange Seal's Valve Stem is designed to accommodate this wide range with its tapered base and oversized oval flap, which ensures an airtight seal and prevents pull-through. Orange Seal's Presta Valve Stem comes in three lengths (48mm, 60mm, and 80mm) and has a removable core, so adding fresh sealant is a mess-free job.

On the long side

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I made the mistake of thinking that my new carbon rims needed a longer valve. I was wrong. The 80mm version is extremely long. Measure things closely before opting for the longer version. Otherwise, the valves work well.

It is what it is

In order to maintain an effective and reliable tubeless setup for your ride, it requires a strong and secure tubeless valve stem system. This is one of the best stems I have found for the price. It is a great little backup for your tubeless set up. They are quality strong products. Made to keep a strong seal while riding.

Not the best option

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the Orange brand sealant, but the valve stems miss the mark. The apron can twist out of place while tightening the nut and the washers don't really work. The sealant itself ended up doing most of the work.
One tip, if you already have them is to leave out the inside (bigger) washer. I found they sealed better that way.
Stick with the Stan's version for the easiest setup.

Not the best

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I got these and wasn't really impressed with the quality of these, I'd recommend getting the Stan's stems before these any day.

so much for making my conversion easy

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

i couldn't get them to seal at all. There are a series of o-rings you must use. I feel it's a very poor design. I bought stan's version, and they worked perfectly?and easily!
