Elevate your climbs.

Get more out of your climbing performance with the OneUp Components Shimano Oval Traction Chainring. When it comes to this oval chainring, traction is the name of the game. Crafted from tough, lightweight 7075-T6 aluminum, this chainring gives you maximized traction by smoothing out the torque delivered to the rear tire. A substantial 115-degree clocking from the crank arm places the major axis in your power stroke, while the Narrow Wide tooth profile eliminates chain dropping with an optimal chain mesh fit. OneUp gave this ring aggressive crud chamfers to shed mud with ease while also extending its life, and the reinforced Wide tooth design boosts the ring's durability when running it without a chain.

  • Oval chainring designed for enhanced traction
  • Durable, lightweight alloy construction
  • 49mm chainline for a quieter drivetrain
  • Wide tooth profile prevents chain drops
  • Aggressive crud chamfers shed mud on sloppy trails

Moar Powwa!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was a little skeptical about the whole oval ring thing at first, but someone I trusted loved it. So, when it came time to re-vamp my drive train I decided to give it a go. Right out of the start gate it was a noticeable difference, but that only lasted a few minutes as I got used to the change from a standard circle. What set this set apart for me was in initial punchy climb that is always hard to get over, and with this ring I felt like I had just that extra amount of oomph to crest and clean that technical bit. This sensation has been proven over and over again as I continue to ride this ring. I think I may be a convert to the oval magic. Give one a try, I bet you will not be disappointed.
