Worth the wait.

You've been putting off buying a tail light all summer for your road bike, and the daylight is starting to wane perceptibly each week. Before you make a snap decision and buy a tiny light out of necessity, we'd consider NiteRider's Solas 150 Tail Light. Emitting up to 150 lumens, the Solas 150 is brighter than most tailights, and it comes equipped with five different modes to adapt itself to the level of visibility you need. We commend NiteRider for including a Group Mode on this light and many of its others, allowing you to alert motorists to your group's presence on the roads without blinding your ride buddies behind you. The Solas 150 also comes with a Daylight Visible Flash specifically made to enhance your visibility when it's light outside, in high traffic situations or on lonely rural roads. NiteRider pairs the Solas 150 with a simple quick-release seatpost mount, as well as its USB-rechargeable battery, which makes on-the-go battery boosts easy and convenient.

  • Stay more visible than usual without hassle
  • Brighter than most tail lights for enhanced safety
  • Daytime mode helps you stand out to motorists in traffic
  • USB-rechargeable battery for quick on-the-go charges

Bright nightlight not up to its task

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased the front and back lighting system in July and began using it in October of the same year, 2016. A curious event happened: The top rubber cap that is used to turn the light on and off suddenly popped out and I could not reinstall it. Frustrating to say the least. A very bright light with a major design flaw.

I've owned 6 of the various Solas lights and never had that problem. If you haven't already got it corrected, contact Niterider customer service. They are VERY good at standing behind their products.

Nightrider is a pretty cool, independently owned company. They design, engineer, assemble, and service their lights out of their San Diego office. Just give them a call. Great customer service in my experience.
