Description

Adventure Ready.

Niner's RLT 9 RDO 2-Star Apex 1 Complete Bike is for those looking for a quiver killer when it comes to a do it all drop bar bike. Chase the roadies all summer on the weekly group rides, when the leaves begin to fall, hop barriers and slog through the mud in the local cross series, and in the spring head out on an epic week-long bikepacking trip. The RLT is more than up to all these challenges and will surprise you at how well it excels at everything. Constructed from Niner's legendary RDO carbon fiber, this RLT deviates from its aluminum and steel roots to bring lightweight, stiff, and durable carbon fiber to your next cycling adventure with geometry suited to handle a myriad of conditions you might face.

Niner's RLT (Road Less Traveled) lineup features bikes that are a bit slacker, longer, and lower than its 'cross-specific model, the Niner's BSB 9. That longer rear end and lower bottom bracket yields a confidence inspiring ride that doesn't lose the responsive needed to pick a line over rough roads at speed. The RLT possesses more stability and comfort over rough roads, while still able to quickly get back up to speed mashing the pedals at a low cadence out of a corner or standing up to summit a climb you've been chipping away at for the last hour. The list of adventure-ready features is long but a few of our favorites include the integrated rack and fender mounts giving a versatile array of setup options, and the replaceable hanger so if you take a spill on the drive side and snap the hanger, simply replace it and in most cases, you should be good to go.

Niner constructs this frame from what it calls Race Day Optimized Carbon Compaction System. This technique fine-tunes the layup and eliminates any material that doesn't contribute to the frame's structural soundness and ride quality. Further enhancing the smooth ride, the RLT utilizes a 27.2mm diameter seatpost that adds an element of flex to help absorb bumps and chatter so you won’t be rattled as you negotiate maintenance neglected, washboard riddled gravel roads. This builds specs the RLT 9 RDO with fast rolling and grippy 35mm Schwalbe G-One tires, and it has clearance to run tires up to 40mm so you'll have the option of sizing up.

The SRAM Apex 1 group has plenty of range for tackling whatever route is on the docket and powerful hydraulic disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power adding confidence when going downhill. The frame and fork are built for flat-mount disc calipers and come with 160mm rotors on the front and 140mm rear. If you would like to size up to 160mm in the rear, an adapter is required.

  • Niner's all-road bike in carbon fiber
  • Endurance geometry blends is comfortable and light
  • RDO carbon construction balances stiffness and compliance
  • Thru-axles increase stiffness eliminating rotor rub
  • Rack mounts on stays and fork for bikepacking tours
  • SRAM's workhorse Apex drivetrain delivers reliable shifting
  • Hydraulic disc brakes for confident braking in all conditions
