Keep it simple.
With carbon fiber getting all the buzz these days (actually, for about the last 15 years), it's easy to forget just how good aluminum is. It's stiff, lightweight, inexpensive, and best of all, reliable. Especially when you're talking about components like handlebars and stems. The Niner Alloy Stem takes advantage of all these qualities while keeping costs and weight to a minimum.
A high-quality stem is a great upgrade for any bike. It takes weight off the front end while adding safety, good looks, and, in some cases, a correct fit. The Niner Alloy stem comes in a durable bead-blast black finish with accents in four different color choices. It comes in the four most popular sizes for XC and all-mountain riding. The tried-and-true two-bolt steerer tube clamp and four-bolt handlebar clamp are strong enough to be used to race motocross, but remain simple and lightweight.

Good Simple Stem
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Had to add this to a relative's bike to enhance the fit. Worked out great!
GOAT IS GOOD
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Correct length, angle, and light weight for the bike build I did this winter. And the matching green trim available in the niner stem and seatpost sealed the deal. Going with 4 stars here because you can get similar specs on a Thomson stem yet Thomson has a couple decades of bombproof reputation behind them. Kudos to niner for offering multiple trim colors though?makes subtle ?customization? of bike builds possible.
