Constant companion.

When your girlfriends manage to talk you into running an ultra in the Nevada desert in a few months, take a cue from a certain female ultrarunner and get yourself the Nathan VaporHowe Hydration Vest. Whether you know Howe's race results already or have never heard of her, this vest she helped create will keep you hydrated on your most punishing training runs.

As the miles stack up in your training schedule, you'll find yourself sipping out of the two 12 oz ExoShot soft flasks more and more, especially since the included straws let you keep them in the vest's pockets. When aid stations prove few and far between on a training race, you'll be grateful the vest accommodated the 1.5-liter resevoir you filled before you set out. Contoured to fit women's torsos, the VaporHowe's adjustable sternum straps prevent nonstop bouncing from threatening your sanity during a 20-mile training run, and its wealth of pockets keep your arrangement of gels, chews, and other sugary mid-run fuel quickly accessible so you're well-fed from training days to the big race.

  • Ward off dehydration on your longest runs in this vest
  • Cut to fit like a shirt with stretchy, breathable fabric
  • Adjustable sternum straps deliver a customizable fit
  • Includes 2 12oz soft flasks with straws for hands-free sipping
  • Rear accommodates a 1.5-liter bladder sold separately
  • Front storage pockets fit an iPhone 6 and plenty of snacks

Great fit, great design

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am a new runner, but a lifetime hiker, backpacker, and alpinist (and therefore critical of pack design and fit), and I love this vest! I like pushing out to run in locations where I am usually alone and must be self sufficient, and this vest carries everything I need with a good fit and good weight distribution. It has been nice for 10-20 mile runs without a resupply. It is comfortable and fits true to size. I chose a medium for this vest based on the measurement chart. I am a small/medium in Patagonia and Prana, for reference.

Does not fit as described

Followed the size chart dimensions & ordered a large that did not fit correctly as described on the website. Returned promptly & was charged for the shipping $6.99. I do not feel I should pay for shipping when your description was incorrect!

    Perfect vest

Love this! I don’t even feel it when I wear it. The bottles kind of leak but not a tone. It’s so comfy!

      Finally Found the One

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

From my wife: After trying a numerous variations for hydrating on the trail, I have finally found my ideal fit. I ran palm-waterbottles for a bit and I had no where to put my phone. I tried a belt, but the belts would jump all around my hips, eventually settling on my waste with a constant bounce that was disruptive. I’ve tried 2 backpack-styles and the straps give me blisters with the constant movement against my back. Enter the VaporHowe. This vest is made for a woman - it fits snug around the shoulders and waist, but not tight. Being 32E, size small is the first solution that doesn’t feel awkward to wear - the bottom stops right at my upper waist and the straps actually sit in a stable place right above and below the girls. I usually take a 1.5L bladder, dog leash, treats, bags, phone, and car key and ditch the water bottles that came with the vest - all of which are snug, don’t bounce, and I don’t have to think about them. Highly recommend!

      Great running vest!

I haven't really put this vest through the ringer but so far I really love it. It is super comfortable and definitely has a more feminine fit. I love the long straws so I don't have to struggle with getting out the bottles and putting them back in there pockets when I need a quick drink. I would say the color isn't quite as pink but more of a peachy color. So far, it's doing the job!

        Never run without it!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am loving this! It is my first hydration pack and is so handy for short and long runs - no more handhelds or annoying arm bands. Lots of storage, very adjustable and comfy.
