Save the Wear and Tear.

Motorex’s Bike Grease 2000 is a sticky all-purpose grease that you can use on just about everything. It coats and stays on threads, metal-to-metal contact points, or any places where you want to keep moisture and grit out and friction to a minimum. It’s great for bearing races used in hubs, headsets, pedals, pulleys, where speed isn't as much of a factor but durability and protection is. Its thickness probably means it isn't the best for freehub pawls, but there are other products made specifically for that.

We’ve been using 2000 on pedal spindles, wheel bearings, seat tube/seat post junctures and more, riding in all conditions, and the grease has stayed in place and parts are still running smoothly and quietly.

Motorex claims the calcium-based substance that holds the lubricant together, is highly water-repellent, extremely stable under pressure, and provides enhanced resistance to oxidation and aging. It does not attack elastomers and seals and it prevents galvanic corrosion. While this sounds rife with infomercial talk, our experience has been solid and it'll continue to be our all-purpose grease of choice.

  • All-purpose grease reducing wear on bike components
  • Prevents component damage from corrosion and moisture
  • Sticky formula stays put
  • Smooth and slick for less friction

Good stuff

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Motorex makes good products and this is quality general purpose grease. The 850g is a big tub that should last a long time for the average rider. I suggest getting a Dualco (USA made) grease gun for it which is the company that makes the Motorex labeled grease gun.

Definitely Recommend

This grease is definitely recommended for anyone doing maintenance on their bike! Does what grease is supposed to do!

    Nothing Better for Bikes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used this on just about everything as a professional wrench so naturally had to purchase my own supply once I moved on. I can't imagine using anything else as I've seen severely abused bikes over the years and this stuff hangs around and keeps doing what grease does. Has a nice tac to it and the integrated bushhead on the cap keeps your hands out of it.

    Quality Grease

I have been using this for a few weeks and am highly impressed. This is a great all purpose grease. Picked up the big one and I'm sure it will last a while!

    A must for the shop

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Picked up a large tub of this for the workbench. Use it on part installs, and more. Seems to have a higher temp rating than Park Tool as well.

    High quality grease

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

this isn't some auto shop grease. This stuff is specially formulated to work on your bikes high wear metal to metal parts to prevent seizing and help with water resistance and heat. Great stuff.

    Its the Shimano grease!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Ever wonder where that green grease shimano uses for all their bottom brackets and derailleurs comes from? Wonder no more!! This has not been verified by motorex, but it sure seems like the same stuff. I have used it for everything from repacking bearings to installing headsets and threaded BB cups. Seems to last well and doesn't liquefy under high temperatures. Definitely my go to bike grease
