Dare To Ride.

Despite it's lightweight constitution, the Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 20 Running Shoe offers high-mileage performance and subtle stiffness that necessary in order to get you trucking in no time. As the latest update in the Wave Rider series, this running shoe features a newly redesigned Cloud Wave technology, which not only offers softer feel than last year's edition, but it's also a shade more lively to ensure quick transitions and a comfortable feel underfoot. Additionally, the newly engineered mesh breathes better than before and keeps your foot snug, yet not overly secure as to prevent hot spots and enable ample dexterity for your foot. The neutral Wave Plate has also seen a few updates and now includes a more soft, yet enhanced feel, while the U4icX heel wedge ensures a stable, yet softer heel strike. As a result, the Wave Rider 20 is ideal for half marathon distances or training runs that require quick turnover.

  • A cloud-inspired running shoe built for high mileage
  • Redesigned mesh upper provides ample breathability
  • Ideal for high to normal arches and neutral gaits
  • Subtly roomy toebox allows foot to splay and move
  • Lightweight midsole attenuates shock and offers an energetic feel
  • Rubber outsole is ideal for spring through autumn conditions

Shoe built for the long haul

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 11

I've owned the Rider 14, 16, 19, and now the 20, so I'm obviously a fan of the line. On each model I have logged between 700 and 1,000 miles per pair. I'm not the smallest guy at 155lbs, and I am a moderate heel-striker, so I'm not so easy on shoes. I obviously like them all, but the 20s are a step above the others. The fit is really really good on these, you slip in and you're ready to go. I can get my 20-24 mile long runs done in these without problem, but I can also slip in strides and tempo runs and the shoes keep up just fine. I highly recommend trying out the Rider 20s.
