Ride the wave of responsive comfort.

Rain or shine, your half marathon training waits for no one, especially when your sorry butt has trouble getting out of bed in the morning. And as the old saying goes "the early bird gets the worm," so give that 5 a.m. bedhead a run for its money with the Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 19 Running Shoe. Built with an improved U4ic midsole and upgraded premium sock liner, the Wave Rider 19 continues to excel the expectations of runners whose exercise ranges anywhere from ten to 25 miles per week.

Crafted with resilient materials, the Wave Rider 19 is a neutral running shoe that's optimal for those who have a more narrow foot and strike without overpronation or supination. The AIRMesh and updated sockliner provides an all around secure, hug-like feel that supports your foot rather than strangle it. Additionally, the Wave Rider 19 offers responsive attenuation and a refined toe spring that in turn delivers a fluid toe-off with its SmoothRide engeineering, U4ic and U4icX midsole while the SR Touch absorbs any shock that reverbs from your strike. So whether you're working through your endurance run of the week or trucking through strength intervals, the Wave Rider 19 steps up to the challenge with flawless ease.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I loved these shoes the first time I put them on. Comfortable from the beginning. I love the higher arch in the Mizuno brand and feel like my foot is secure in the shoe. Very Nice!

If it wasn't for the incredible comfort and support of the Wave Rider I probably wouldn't be running anymore! I've been wearing Mizuno Wave Riders for the last 10 years and won't run in anything else. Not only do they provide great support and are comfortable to run in, they last a long time compared to other running shoes! I've run two 50 mile ultra-marathons in Wave Riders and countless shorter races. I highly recommend them!

Brother-in-law loves them!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I think Mizunos are great, personally, but as an overpronator I need corresponding support. My brother in law, on the other hand, has been running in Wave Riders for 10 years probably and brand loyalty is strong with that one. Loves the standard heel support and wider toe box like previous models, but with the 19s Mizuno has finally shaved some of the weight from the midsole that blemished previous models, without sacrificing support.

It fits great, breathable and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone. My feet are a little wide but they still fit great.

Best training shoe ever

I ran my first marathon in 2005 and now am running sub 3 hours races. I have been running in this shoe the entire time which tells me that it's great for both beginners as well as competitive racers. The best feature about this shoe is it's breathability which is great for those hot days. This shoe is definitely meant for road runs which means not much protection if you want to use them on the trails. I've tried many other shoes in the past years but always prefer the Wave Rider.
