These are my first upgrade wheels, I'd heard all the hype about needing to change from OE wheels supplied. Wow. These are amazing all rounders, aero and you can feel it when up to speed. They roll fast and are easier to spin up than the standard wheels, look great on my Basso and feel so strong. Highly recommend.

The Mercury S5's are beautiful and ride very well. Perfectly straight and true out of the box. They feel better and better the faster you go! I love the understated graphics. Have not ridden in the rain yet, but so far the rim brakes seem to work fine. I'm not fan of the loud freehub, but I'll have to get used to it. I pulled the freehub off and added freehub grease (I know they do not recommend it) but still loud. New Conti 5000s are notoriously tight, but mounted them ok - but then had a hard time getting the front tire bead to seat fully (took a couple inflations and deflations). They make my 11 year old Tarmac look new.... Overall very pleased!

I just upgraded my OE stock wheels on my Giant. Nice and light plus stiff. Great rolling hubs. 500 miles so far and everything is good.

These wheels showed up massively out of dish and out of true, so much so that my tires were rubbing the sides of my brake calipers. And this is the front wheel...! I understand that rear wheels are often out of dish as a result of mounting tires, but having the front wheel dished so poorly is really surprising. Had them adjusted by my LBS and in a few weeks of riding they've come slightly out of true again. Obviously that is disappointing, because otherwise these seem to be good, reliable wheels. They're fast and have good braking for a carbon rim and overall I've enjoyed them. But spending an extra $50 right off the bat to have the wheels trued and dished to actually be fully functional was seriously disappointing.

What color are the decals? In the picture it's gray like, but on mercury website the s5 has white decals

Hey Keo, These are closer to a gray color.

I’ve had these S5 for a little over year so far with over 3400 miles with no issues. They feel really stable at high speed, yet nice and lively when I'm grinding out long efforts or climbing. Even though they are 50mm profile, they hold really steady in windy conditions. Braking is excellent. Hubs are silky smooth. Love the performance of these wheels.

These wheels are a great value and very high quality. I've owned many wheelsets over the years and usually buy custom-built wheels as I tend to break rear rims. These wheels are very well made and were perfectly true laterally and radially out of the box - better than most of the custom wheels I've had. The spokes are very tight and uniform and were stress relieved so no "pinging" noises as spokes reset on my first ride. I did have to pull some plastic wrap material out of the wheels that was left over from the manufacturing process. They are a little heavy at 1675grams, and you can feel the weight when accelerating hard or on steep climbs, but they roll very well on flats, mild rollers, and they fly on descents! The wheels are very stiff laterally. I have them set up tubeless with Michelin 25C Power Road tires. The interior of the rim measures around 19mm and my tires are around 27mm wide when inflated to 70psi. Overall, I highly recommend these wheels. They are very well made, fast, stiff, comfortable and a deal at $1000!

The roads I ride are pretty abusive on wheels, bikes, and body. I'm also a heavier rider. These have taken the harshness, are still true, and feel compliant while stiff enough to transfer the power and take the turns at speed. I replaced a set of Vision Metron 55's with these and feel the Mercury S5's are as good at half the cost. The braking performance should also be mentioned, I don't worry about them, even though they are carbon rim type. I bought a set of the S5 Disc model for one of my other bikes, because I like these that much.

With over 6.5k miles on them. For me much better than my old Zipp 404 wheels. Very stiff and strong wheels. Hubs are very smooth. Riding with Michelin Pro 28m tires makes for a good combo. Great purchase.

I love my new S5 wheelset. First of all they are really light and sturdy. The difference between the stock wheelset and my new set is amazing. I went ahead and cycled two months before posting my review, in total 600 miles. I’ve owned Mavic and Zipp carbon wheels before and paid a lot more but I can say these wheels are just as good if not better. I am very pleased with this product not to mention they look great.

I've put 4.5K miles on mine and now they're toast. In putting my third set of tires on them for their lifetime, these have started delaminating and not holding air along with cracking sounds heard. Bubbling along the side rim wall from the air pressure of 90 PSI. I set up tubeless. No over pressure used, so unfortunately it isn't a user error. Customer service was contacted and have been helpful in getting it replaced. They are true to their warranty.

I've only had the wheels for 4 months and so far so good. They are light and very responsive. I'm 6'1" and 200 pounds and ride an older Specialized Tarmac. Using the carbon brake pads included with the purchase the breaking is firm and stable. I'm hoping for a lot of miles on them. Very happy with my purchase.

Best money you can spend on upgrading your bike. Have put on a 1200 miles on these in the last six months with no issues. They handled cross winds well with excellent braking. Hubs are super smooth with good engagement. Running Michelin 28c and they feel great. Highly recommend.
