TS8 R29" 100 eLECT Fork

Right in time for the Y2K bug, K2 and Noleen teamed up to produce variable-dampening electronic shocks. Surprisingly, that was nearly fifteen years ago and, since then, electronics have rapidly replaced many functions traditionally left to mechanical or hydraulic functions. Most recently, Magura's TS8 R29" 100 eLECT Fork uses 3D-Sensors, wireless technology, and a modern control module to expand on what those daring companies tried to pull off during the millennium.

Unlike the K2 Smart Shock you no longer need to lick a 9v to check power, as Magura's eLECT technology runs on a modern lithium battery that'll run 40 hours in automatic mode, that's stretchable to 60 hours in manual mode. To keep the eLECT system topped off, a dust- and water-tight Micro USB connection makes quick and convenient charging possible.

Now to the truly important bits, eLECT uses sensors to feed the module shock, incline, and decline vectors where instant dampening adjustments keep the fork from blowing through travel on high-g berms and from bobbing on climbs. The sensors also notice it when in free fall to unlock the fork even in manual mode. This system is also incredibly lightweight, already housed in a feathery dual-arch, magnesium lower, and 32mm-aluminum stanchioned chassis, this TS8 tips the scales a full quarter pound less than the four-pound mark.

Magura's TS8 R29" 100 eLECT Fork uses a tapered headtube, post-mount brakes, and 15mm axle. It comes in two finishes, Black or White.
