Item # MGR0050

The Storm SL 6 Bolt Rotor is the lightest Magura brake rotor ever. To make it, they took the Storm rotor and gave it a serious diet, whittling away some serious grams. The difference is that the Storm SL has large, polygonal shaped vent holes rather than the Storm's smaller, round drilled holes.

The Magura Storm SL 6 Bolt Rotor comes standard on Marta brakes, but it can also be used with their Louise brakes. The gentle sawtooth shaping on the outside diameter decreases the chances that you'll experience brake squeal. It comes with fasteners and will work with any 6 Bolt compatible hubs.

Stopping Power

Work as intended. Paired these up with some Magura brakes and my bike stops when I want it to. No squeals or chatter.

    Perform as Expected

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

No complaints, they perform as expected at a reasonable price. If you have magura brakes, these are a must have.

Is the 160mm one compatible with BB7 SL road disc brakes?

Yes but I recommend using Avid rotors with Avid brakes,

Are these compatible with Shimano SLX...

Are these compatible with Shimano SLX brakes?

Yes they are but we always recommend using the same brand rotors and brakes e.g. Shimano brakes with Shimano rotors.

    They work like they should

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These rotors are a huge improvement over the older style Marta SL Galfer rotors. Longer wearing and no more pulsing.

    No squeals!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Cured my ongoing squealing problem - all the open space seems to shed water and debris better, seems pad friendly too. No squeals in over a year! I have 203f/180r with Juicy 3/ Shimano organic pads
