Pedal far and wide with midweight hand protection.

Louis Garneau is known more for road apparel than mountain bike gear, but that doesn't mean it doesn't know its way around the trails, too. Exhibit A is the Rover Glove, a midweight mitt made from a stretchy blend of spandex and neoprene and finished with a Clarino synthetic leather palm for durability and sensitivity. Sensitivity doesn't mean flimsiness, though; the Rover has padded knuckles and D3O impact protection on the outside of the hand so you can punch trees or take spills without serious damage, and Ergo Air ventilation that's specifically designed to breathe well when you're gripping handlebars. The fingers are touchscreen compatible, so you can Strava and selfie like a legend, and the thumb has a microfiber panel for nose-and sweat-wiping excellence.

Glove review

Only used the most twice so far on a mountain bike and seem decent. Only thing I don't like like at all is on the palm of Thebes's glove they added som sort of padding (that doesn't help anything) covered in mesh that I am sure will tear in a matter of a few rides from the bike grips.

    Best Full-finger I've used!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These are the most comfortable and best full-finger gloves I've put my hands in, hands down! The fit for me is perfect. Material is comfortable and breathable.
I'm the type that searches until I find the perfect product, then purchases in mass, so I'll be doing that with these gloves as soon as they start showing significant wear.

    Tested it out

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I hit dirt today while on a trail. My left my palm slid a bit while my nose was taking in all the natural aroma of dirt on trail. Pretty sure that the padding on the glove saved my hand from getting scraped up. Too bad my knees didn't fare any better.

    Good for road bikers too

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

As a road biker, I'd rather not scrape my hand off in a crash with flimsy gloves. These seem to have some good pads and protection. They look cool and the fit is good. The touchscreen pads work but intermittently. The Velcro strap is a little short and comes at an odd angle but these are minor quibbles for me. I also wanted full fingers for cooler rides and these seem to be okay for me down to the 40s though a little nippy at that point. Overall I am very happy with these and expect to be better protected the day I take a spill.

    Best glove ever!

Bought the Rover 3 months ago and have used it nearly daily from commuting to racing MTB bikes. They still look brand new with no wear on tear even after washing multiple times. I am a fan of the Ulnar pad as I suffer without it MTB biking. The fingers tips work great on iPhone and Garmin 510. The fit for me as well is spot on. The Rover is so awesome I have 2 pairs now.
