Lizard Skins Bar Tape
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This bar tape is great! It doesn't wear as much as other tape over time. The dual color takes some practice to get it to look just right on the bars.
Best bar tape
Love the lizard skins tape. Very comfortable with excellent tackiness for a great grip with less pressure. The bi-color adds a bit of style for those of us that like a little extra flair on our rides. The tape is fairly easy to apply but requires a bit of extra attention while wrapping without stretching. Well worth the effort for bar tape that is as good as it gets.

Just great
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Super cushy to provide comfort on long rides, no gloves needed.
Tacky to give you grip when you're hot and sweaty or when conditions are less than ideal.
Colors to match nearly any frame.
A winner, for sure!
Super Comfy

I never knew how much of a difference good tape could make for my bike. The Lizard Skins are easy to wrap and have lots of cushion. Mine don't wear out and I've had them for over a year. The plugs aren't too great, I've lost one so far, but you can't beat the cushion for the fingers...honestly feels like I'm holding onto a pillow.

Nice Tape, Crappy Plugs

I really like this bar tape. It's soft, tacky, and comfortable. My only complaint is with the bar plugs. They don't want to stay in! I swapped them out for bar plugs that came with some cheap-o cork tape and those stay in much better.
One note on installing this tape: you can't stretch it the way you would traditional cork tape. If you stretch it too tightly, it'll start to separate around the bends of your bars. Lizardskins has a good video on how to install it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxFdOnaRGVM.
tasteful

I love white bar tape, but it is hard to keep clean. The dual bar tape in black/white allowed me to keep a bit of white on the drops and black on the flats, where I spend more time.
Also, the Lizard Skins tape is comfortable and has a great tactile feel.
Better than the Best

Have used plenty of other types of bar type (cork, fizik, etc.) and finally got this tape from the recommendation of a friend. This stuff is easily the best. I like to feel the bars and am not a fan of an ultra cushy grip because at high speeds it can be worrisome. This grip meets in the middle though. Incredibly comfortable, good touch (I don't wear gloves), and I still feel like I have control of the bike. Only thing is that it is tough to clean...Will stay with these grips always now
Comfy

Super nice padding, and texture. This is my favorite grip tape. Comfy without sacrificing grip. 5 stars.

That's the best description I can offer. This bar tape is very soft but doesn't prevent feeling the bars or cables if underneath. Definitely the most comfortable tape I have used and will continue to use in the future. I opted for the white blue and it looks awesome if you can get the transition point right.
Nick, do you have a pic of your tap job?
Grippy
I got this wrap for my birthday. Nice and cushy, and super grippy. I've only had it on for about a week so we will see how it holds up. I did a 50 miler the day after I put it on and it was much more comfortable that the Fisik tape I had on. Definitley recommend!
Yes!! I agree...Great bar tape.Soft, grippy and I was even able to stop wearing gloves but those end plugs kept coming out and I have already lost one.
