Description

Danny MacAskill Lock-On Grip

The Danny MacAskill Lock-On Grip is the result of a collaboration between the all-things-grip people Lizard Skins and—you guessed it—MacAskill. It's the first single-sided lock-on model produced by the brand, and it's built with a variable diameter that cushions and absorbs trail chatter. The lockring is also emblazoned with MacAskill's name, which is a double bonus if you happen to be a MacAskill, too.

  • Lizard Skins' most advanced lock-on mountain bike grip
  • Variable cushion absorbs trail chatter
  • Single-sided lock-on design for more usable real estate
  • Designed in collaboration with MacAskill himself

Good grip

Familiarity:

These grips are not the most plush things in the world. So if you're looking for THICC grips, these are not for you. However, if you're looking for a sticky, comfortable, thinner grip with great feedback, look no further.

Great grips!

Upgraded to these grips on my Juliana Furtado from the grips that came on the bike - they are great! Love the color, they are thin, but provide a solid amount of cushion to absorb shock on the downhill. Would definitely recommend.

Thin and grippy!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I recently upgraded to these grps, and no complaints so far. Nice, thin profile and texture pattern offers good grip with or without gloves. If you don't like a mushy grip, or have smaller hands, it will do very well, but still offers a small amount of squish to help with fatigue. Single lock ring holds grips in place well, and not having a lock ring on the outside is quite nice, as I find myself with my hands as far out as I can get them on the grip. Solid upgrade for a good price. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Phone - 801-736-6396 extension 4695 Email - jehall@backcountry.com

Sticky & Cushy

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I wanted to replace the beat up stock grips on my Juliana Furtado but couldn't decide what to get because I have small hands and prefer thinner grips. I have a pair of Troy Lee Designs ODI Grips on another bike and feel that they are pretty uncomfortable because they are too thick for my hands. I was pleased to find out that these grips ended up being about as thin as my stock Juliana ones. The awesome orange color matches my bike perfectly. They are super sticky and have great cushion. I also like the single-sided lock on feature because you have more handlebar to work with. If you want a good thin grip, look no further!

The Thinnest

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I returned these but wanted to post some feedback as grip diameters frequently aren't posted. LS states that these are 29-30 mm in diameter, making them the thinnest grip in their lineup. I've been using the LS Bearclaw grips for a couple years now (LS doesn't post diameter for these), which feel slightly thicker than the MacAskills but not by much. These are sticky and lightweight, just keep in mind that they are very thin.
