Charger Evo Lock-On Grips

Keeping your paws comfortable on the bars is Lizard Skin's top priority, and the new Charger Evo Lock-On Grips are ready to get the job done. They  pack in more technology than Lizard Skins has ever used before, with rubber that soaks up chatter from the trail, and dual-patterned textures that help improve feel while absorbing shock. Checker-board pattern throughout most of the palm holds you to the bar securely, while a flexible zone where your fingers meet the bar adds elevated grip and tactile feel. To top it all off, the grips secure for a slip-proof fit with lock-on rings to keep you secure when you're getting a bit rowdy on the bike.
  • Tech-packed grips for keeping your paws happy
  • Dual-patterned zones cushion your hands
  • Evolved from classics for improved support
  • Lock-ring design keeps grip secured in place

These are perfect and very durable

I've put it through the wringer
True to size

Good size, dampening, and grip. Where they shine is in durability (1000 miles and barely any wear) and the one-clamp design allows to ride comfortably with palms hanging off the end of the bars. Another plus compared to other one-clamp systems is that the end--the core of the grip cap--is harder plastic. Your palm does not contact this spot, so no issue with comfort, but thanks to that hard cap, the grips don't get damage from leaning the bike, crashing, and clipping trees or walls. I ride many narrow bridges with about half an inch of clearance on the guardrails, and when I contact the guardrails the grips don't catch or damage. Specialized makes one clamp grips that I ran for years, and those lasted half the miles, and the soft ends would shred in crashes or catch on bridges. I get double the miles on these compared to Ergon or Specialized grips. These are excellent grips and super cheap when considering durability.

I've used it several times

I gave these a go based on looks alone. they looked like a good grip. After using them I have been really impressed. Comfortable and sticky

Tacky grip and good trail feedback

I've put it through the wringer

These are a relatively new model so I figured I'd give them a shot. One side of the grips has a pattern with vertical grooves that flex for some nice cushion. This side needs to be positioned under your palm with the lizard skins logo fitting between your thumb and index finger. This pattern actually does a pretty good job cushioning your palm from impacts. It helps on long climbs too when there is extended pressure on your palms. The other side has a raised checkerboard pattern to give your fingers the best grip possible where they wrap around. This pattern works well too even when the grips get wet. They are relatively thin grips so the feedback from the trail is good, they don't numb trail features. They are also pretty wide, allowing you to take multiple positions on the bar. I had to move my levers further inboard to accommodate. Integrated bar ends keep you from getting impaled and also protect your handlebars from impacts. Overall I like them and would buy again.
