Light & Motion Solite 250 EX $169.99
More options for the impulsive among us.
When Light and Motion set out to build the most versatile light that it could come up with, the Solite 250 EX became the result. It puts out a whopping 250 lumens, which is able to be dialed back to 50 for the times when you don't need deer-blinders. Better yet, with the supplied headband, it mounts easily to a helmet, or you're able to set it up as a flashlight by affixing the light directly to the battery. So, whether you're not able to make up your mind, or you just like having options, the Solite 250 EX will answer to your whims.
Light and Motion built the Solite 250 to be the most versatile light on the market, and the results speak volumes. There are tons of attachment options. So, whether you're the set-it-and-forget-it type, or you intend to use every possible configuration on a regular basis, you're covered. The included headband makes wearing it as a head lamp a snap, a trait that's bolstered by helmet attachments. Naturally, this means that it's easy to mount to your bike as well, with the handlebar being the preferred position. And if you're looking for a handheld option, the light connects directly to the battery, turning the Solite into a bright, compact flashlight.
As the name implies, the Solite puts out 250 lumens of bright, crisp light. That's a ton of light, and accordingly, there are times when you'll want to use a lower-intensity setting. And, thankfully, doing so prolongs your battery life. At the full 250 lumens, you're able to expect four hours of run time, and at the low 50 lumen setting, that figure jumps to around 30 hours. There's also a 125 lumen setting, and two blinking settings as well. We weren't kidding when we said that it's versatile.
The Light and Motion Solite 250 EX Light is available in one size and in the color Quartz.

Versatile and very bright
This light packs a lot into a pretty small package. The versatility of being a headlamp, bike light, handheld, or standing light set this light apart from many others. It's a perfect adventure light, or keep one in your car for use anytime. The beam is more of a spot light than a dispersed beam. Very defined edges of light, but casts pretty wide, plenty for the trail or sidewalk.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought this light for 2 primary activities: night Nordic skiing and night mountain biking. Since it's the middle of winter and full on ski season I obviously haven't cycled with it yet, but I've had the chance to use it Nordic skiing and it is absolutely amazing. There is simply no need to run it on its highest setting, even on the darkest night, and the middle setting provided more light than I needed, even for faster descents. My friends I ski with couldn't believe I didn't have it on its brightest setting and said when I was skiing toward them they felt like it was an 18 wheeler coming their way.
Super comfortable to wear on my head, never notice the battery at all, and stays perfectly in place.
I'm looking forward to using the included pieces to mount it to my helmet for some night mountain biking once that season comes, but in the meantime I'm going to get in a ton of night skiing this year!
Love this light

This is a great light to have, you can use it on your bike, you can use it camping, around the house, working on your car, etc. Light weight and very bright, and easy to use. Easy to charge with the USB and great battery life. Shine on!
