Lezyne's Presta Valve Extenders function in two ways. First, they are long enough, 70mm, that you'll have a valve head sticking out of just about every deep-section wheel around. Second, they have a threaded top that makes it possible to screw on the Presta-side pump heads found on both Lezyne's mini pumps and their floor pumps.

They are made of attractive CNC-machined aluminum for good looks and long life. They have wrench flats near the bottom to secure the extenders to the valves. And, if you want to use these extenders with a slip-fit head, or another brand of pump, they'll work well in these situations, too.Remember, do not remove the valve core from the base Presta valve when installing these extenders.

The Lezyne Valve Extenders come as a pair, and are Silver.

Adequate, but not good for the long term

I've put it through the wringer

I've used these and many other thread on extensions over the years. They all have one fatal flaw. The extension eventually cracks where it threads into the presta tube. The problem is the wall thickness is designed to be as small and light as possible. The thin wall eventually cracks from stress even though I never applied more than finger pressure to check tightness. From here on I will either buy tubes with a 80mm stem or buy valve extensions for use with removable valve cores.

These make things super easy and are even threaded to work with Lezyne pumps. Extra o-rings are included as well. They've been working well and the torx head is nice to torque down to prevent spinning. The only thing I wish is that these were offered in different lengths.

Common sense and classic

I've put it through the wringer

Just like Peter mentioned below, I finally have a valve extender that threads to my mini pump. Plus, they’re a little more narrow so they fit into the valve hole better. And to top it all off, they come with tiny o-rings so that I don’t have to put plumber’s tape around the threads to make the connection air tight. I have a set of Rovals that my Zipp and other extenders don’t fit, but these are no problem and they add a bit of flare. Just be sure to place some electrical tape over them to keep them from rattling as you ride.

I've put it through the wringer

I got so frustrated with the Mavic extenders which came with my deep dish wheels I figured I'd try these. They have threads at the top like a presta valve which allows the pump to grab it like it would a normal presta valve. Seems common sense, no? But most extender manufactures haven't seen the light, while these just work.
