Everything you need, nothing you don’t.
We can read your mind. You want a tough multi-tool that's light enough to let you forget all about it until you need it. Lezyne also read your mind, and came through with the V-5 Multi-Tool. The V-5 uses ultra-durable nickel-plated chrome vanadium bits and a lightweight 7075 aluminum frame to answer all your prayers (or at least one) and keep you rolling, even after your bike has tried to strand you miles from home.
Lezyne uses nickel-plated chrome vanadium bits to make sure you have the toughest tool possible. The CNC-machined bits are unbelievably precise, so you don't have to fight to keep them from rounding your hardware. They'll never rust, either, even if you forget them in your pack over the winter. In order to keep weight down, Lezyne uses CNC-machined 7075 aluminum side plates and a forged and CNC'd chain breaker.
The most important difference between the V-5 and most other multi-tools is Lezyne's clever center-pivot bit design. This design allows Lezyne to make low profile tools that are lighter, stiffer, stronger, and more ergonomic than the more common wraparound design. Look closely at the joint area of each bit. The center-pivot design keeps the axis of the bit in line with the plane of the tool to make it feel more like a full-size tool. The natural-feeling pivot point is more comfortable and it gives you more torque.
The Lezyne V-5 Multi-Tool includes the tools that you need for the most common road- and trail-side adjustments and light repairs. 90% of the time you're making adjustments with Allen wrenches, and Lezyne includes the most common sizes: 3, 4, 5, and 6mm. The Phillips screwdriver comes in handy more often than you'd think (just take a few rides without one), and we all know how annoying it can be to be caught miles from home with a broken chain and no chain tool. All that in a tool that weighs less than two ounces!

- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I've been looking for a tool like this for a while. I ride without a saddlebag so I'm much more conservative with what I pack. This tool fits every bolt on my bike I could imagine fiddling with out on a ride, including my cleats. It is tiny! Seriously, takes up no room and weighs nothing. Works great, very sleek and well made as I've come to expect from lezyne. If you're going way out you may want a chain/spoke tool, but for any normal training ride, it's all I need. Definitely recommend throwing one in your pocket.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Only 6g heavier than the carbon version and just as good. Has all the tools you'll ever need on a typical road ride. For more remote riding, I pack a chain breaker.
Lezyne V5 Multi-Tool
Very Light and Compact
This tool is very convenient and fits perfectly in the Lezyne tool pocket. It is very light and is all you need out on the road.
quality piece, all you need
4 stars due to a defect in the first item I received. The threading was coming undone on the wrap so sent it back and received a proper product 2nd time around. This goes in the jersey pocket. All I need for those 'just in case' scenarios. It's light, compact, and sexy, well as sexy as a multitool can be
