Lots of pros and cons

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use it to ride on gravel and dirt roads for MTB training at night. My rides average 60-70 km and the battery lasts long enough for coming back home safely.

The beam is broad and a bit disperse, but does a good job on illuminating the roads. For MTB, this is fine, but I think it might be a problem for roadies as part of the focus is dispersed laterally an upwards, which may annoy drivers on your way.

The battery life is as advertised in the manufacturer webpage. Despite weighting over 400 grams (~1lb), there was no significant interference on the steering quality. The biggest con is that the light does not stand still on the handlebar on the rough terrain and starts pointing downwards.

What I liked:
Long lasting battery life. I keep changing the modes and do not use the overdrive mode too often, but I am confident to assure that battery life at 800 lumens exceeds 3 hours.

What I disliked:
Despite tightening it as much as I can to my 31.8-mm handlebar, it always starts point downwards on rough terrain and when I go fast on descends, which creates a safety issue. At least for me.
Battery charge time: on an ordinary USB port, it will take 8 hours to fully charge. These ports yield only 500 mA on the output. As result, I am using an old cellphone charger, with output of 750 mA. It reduced the charging time to 5 hours.

Bright, but attachment is crappy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Compact, bright as heck, no wires, and fast charging. It is an impressive package in those respects. I do not like the handlebar attachment. It is quite difficult to attach to both road and mountain handlebars. If not for this, it would be even better!
