RAP-21 Multi Tool

You know the feeling you get when you know you messed up big time? Like, for instance, when you’re miles from the trailhead, you’re stuck without tools, and your bike has stopped rolling? Well, if you’d packed the Lezyne RAP-21 Multi Tool, this probably wouldn’t be striking a chord. It’s loaded up with most every tool imaginable for handling your trailside repairs, and it’s all housed in a sleek aluminum package that’s robust, and wouldn’t look out of place in an industrial art museum. Why get stranded, when you could ride home instead?

Lezyne designed the RAP-21 to back you up when you’re facing down nearly any trailside mechanical, hence the staggering variety of tools it packs. Hex wrenches are a given, and with 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8mm sizes, all the normal bases are covered. To accommodate for disc rotors, as well as the growing variety of cockpit components that use a Torx interface, there are T25 and T30 bits. Keeping your derailleurs in line are the Phillips and flat-head screwdrivers. A 9-11 speed chain tool helps to avert disaster in the event that your drivetrain comes to bits. Should your wheels go out of round, the RAP-21 has a Mavic MTB, a 3.22, and 3.45 spoke wrench. Rounding out the list is a tire lever, open-end 8mm and 10mm wrenches, a bottle opener, and the often overlooked, but incredibly handy, disc brake wedge. The final addition is a removable LED light that snaps into the end of the 5mm wrench, which is particularly useful if you get stranded after nightfall. And the whole package comes in at 178g, so you can toss it in your jersey and forget about it until you need it.
