Great option for long night rides

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I needed a light with an external battery pack that would last me in dark forest for 7.5 hours. This light worked perfectly. When I was riding solo I would mostly leave it on 1000 lumens but would toggle to 500 lumens when in a group or just didn't need that much light. It lasted the entire ride so either I was accidentally toggling it down to 250 lumens or the battery automatically dropped it down when it was running low. I carried an extra battery pack but never needed it. I ran the battery pack from within a frame bag and it worked fine. The only thing I didn't like and this isn't specific to this light but you can only toggle in one direction. So if you're at 500 and want to go to 1000 you have to cycle through all the other levels. The mount options are good. I just had it strapped to top bar. The GoPro mount under bike computer would be nice but I think I would have found it too hard to cycle through light levels. Overall a very good light. If I just needed a couple hours of light I'd just stick with my cateye volt 700 but for much longer this worked and for very dark conditions I wanted the 1000 lumens
