Steep learning curve but cool

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Once you figure out how to get it programmed... it’s awesome. Oddly, I finally found a decent set of instructions buried on Lezyne’s site AFTER working most things out for myself. There is a generic set that goes in depth on each feature but you have to know what your model has. That being said, the amount you can customize the Macro Easy is very cool. No, this model does NOT wirelessly connect to your phone. If you are a bit tech savvy it will connect via the USB, however. I use an iPad and a USB dock to easily download my ride data. Plugging it straight into a Mac or PC is the simplest way to go and the only way to upgrade firmware (which took a bit to wrangle also). I have wahoo heart and speed sensors and it finds those AND tells me their battery strength within 15 second of turning on the unit (about the time to get GPS). It’s easy to read and has an auto pause you can turn on. It has an MTB mode, which is what I use it for (yes, it makes a difference). Even the mount is cool and gives you a few options. I mount my unit back on the stem a bit more out of harms way. Actual use of the unit is super simple. Turn it on, wait for it to get signals, hit start and go. You do have to toggle and operate it with the buttons (no swipe). They are a little stiff but good sized and easy to use with a glove on. I was able to set my 4 favorite fields on the main display so I don’t need to toggle to other screens. So, use “in the field” - simple. Set-up... has a steep learning curve and requires patience. One final note: Give the unit time to set-up before connecting it to USB (or sensors). Shut down connecting programs first... don’t just yank the plug.

Good review, Thank You.
