Be a hoser.

Life is filled with unexpected setbacks. Unfortunately, these happen all too often on the trail. That's why the Lezyne made the Alloy Drive Pump. Featuring the same shape and dimensions as the Carbon Drive 2, the Alloy Drive Pump gives you all of the performance at a fraction of the price.

The Lezyne Alloy Drive Pump features a CNC-machined aluminum handle, barrel, and shaft. The use of rigid, precise materials allows the Alloy Drive to inflate tires to riding pressure with 30% fewer strokes than conventional hand pumps. The oversized piston and handle are integrated into the body of the pump, and form a sleek, unassuming design.

The Alloy Drive Pump comes outfitted with the Lezyne ABS Flex Hose. This feature is a huge ergonomic advantage for roadside inflation. With the ABS Flex Hose, you don't have to strain to match valve angles. Simply fit the Slip-Fit System valve head to the stem, and pump away at an angle of your choosing. The Flex Hose is also equipped with the Air Bleed System for even greater accuracy in pressure regulation. For a low-profile, the Alloy Drive utilizes a compact design that stows the hose inside the pump handle when you're not using it.

The Lezyne Alloy Drive Pump is available in sizes Small (170mm, 112g) and Medium (216mm, 128g), and includes a Composite Matrix mounting bracket. The Tech Drive HV has a maximum of 90psi, and is only compatible with Presta and Schrader Valve fittings, via its reversible hose. The Alloy Drive is available in the colors Black and Red.

  • Flex hose makes reaching those hard-to-reach valve stems easier, and prevents accidentally snapping them off
  • High Volume so you can get on with your ride

Anyone know the difference between this and the tech drive?

It broke

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It worked good for its intended use but after a few months use the vibration specially going through rough terrains cause weakening on the components that keep it together and ended up with just half of it , the other half fell off without me even noticing on a mountain bike trip

A Worthy Update for a 20 Year Old Pump

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Lezyne Alloy Drive M replaces my old zefal mtb pump. Its design is much better, and I think that's true for its all alu construction too. It weighs one gram less at 135g and is a little shorter; so, basically the same dimensions. But it pumps more air with a shorter stroke and is far easier to use due to the short rubber hose with both presta and schrader fittings built in and ready to go. On my tubeless 27.5" x 2.8" tires ten strokes yields about one psi. Probably a bit more with a tube taking up space. I run my tires at 15-17psi for better traction and ride, and that suggests I could get a tire pumped up from zero to ride-worthy well before dark. Who rides rough trails in the dark? Not me.

UPDATE: This pump is so pleasant to use, I top up my tires at the trailhead with it. The stated length of the pump is correct for the metal body. If you are millimeter-minded, add another 9mm for the protruding rubber seals and a bit of the stashed hose. Storing the hose inside the piston rod is very clever. Another clever design feature is the loose O-ring above the piston, which keeps the pump from clattering on the up-stroke.

Sweet! Thanks for the review Jim. I think I need to get this one.

Have yet to use...

My bike hasn't gone flat for some time now so I haven't have the opportunity to put this bad boy to use. I will update though....

    Super Easy and Super useful

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The flexible hose connection along with the screw on valve makes it an easy tool for the any biker. Fits perfectly along the inside of my backpack for comfortable travel.

    Ditto to Austin's Review... sortof

We ride MTB, we had the small version of these pumps. They did work, just as the previous review described. We tried the larger size, and were nothing but exstatic! We just ordered 2 more! The build is awesome, and the M size is great for 2.XX tires.

Easy to attach, easy to use.

Before a ride in St. George I just wanted to make sure that my tires were fully inflated.

Easy to attach, easy to use.

      Pump up the volume.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my first Lezyne pump I have had and so far I have been impressed with how well it works and the solid built quality. I went with the small so it wouldn't look so bulky on my road bike and haven't had any issues. I like that it can be mounted on my bike with the included attachment and then I can just take it off my road bike and throw it in my backpack for the mountain bike rides and it will work for that too. It does take a little time to pump up a MTB tire, but that sure beats walking with the bike.

The hose is great to make pumping up a little more easy to access and I love how the hose just flips around depending on the valve type. The hose feels like good quality, the threads on both sides of the hose are great and no air escaped while pumping up the tire. I also like how the how the hose has a button to let out some air. I haven't had to use that feature yet, but it is still cool to know that it has it.

Build quality is great and it feels like a solid pump, not a flimsy product that will break at any time. I'm not worried about it being in my backpack and it mounts up great on the road bike. Great product from Lezyne.

      Pump up the volume.

      Great pump for group rides

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This pump, while not the smallest is super durable and usable. Its the only pump I take when I do overnight touring with a group ranging from 4-15 people. The flexible hose makes it easy to fill up a tire even with racks and bags on the bike, and the fact that it has both Presta and Schrader Valves without needing an adaptor means that it fits every bike out there. I bought the Medium sided since I was more worried about ease of use than weight as a tourer.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was my first Lezyne purchase and I couldn't be more stoked on the quality of this little device. Looks sweet when mounted on your frame and feels great in the hand when airing up your tires. I love the ABS Flex hose, makes for a much easier time pumping. Since I only use Presta valves on my bikes, the biggest thing for me is not having to always keep a presta valve adapter on me when needing to fill up. The ABS Flex hose adapts straight to the Presta valve with no needed adapter, and if you have a schrader valve, just flip the hose to find the schrader valve side. Simple! 5 star all day!

This Pump is the best I've ever used!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Its small and looks like a mini vibrator that may be hidden in your bedside drawer and packs a lot of power to boot! I use it MTB'ing and the flexible hose is why makes this pump worthwhile! I always hated pumping up my tires with the pump connected directly to the wheel-I was always afraid that I would rip the valve off! LENZE has got it together!

      Great for Mtn. Bike

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love Lezyne pumps and hand pumps, and this one is my favorite for mountain bike tires. Not quite enough max pressure for road but it works great in the dirt. Lightweight, short enough to fit in a back pocket. Lezyne quality is always excellent and this will last you a very long time.

What's the difference between the small and med size? Med pumps up a bit faster?

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The pump design is solid and I love how you don't have to take anything apart to pump up shredder or prester valves. I do wish it pumped a little bit more volume. It's also kind of pink but it sure is easy to see laying on the ground when you forget to put it back in your pack.

      Pump it up

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am moving to a pump after years of co2 use. Pump seems solid and well made. Maybe a little heavier than I expected. Seems tough to get tires (road) up to 90psi, but it should get me home just fine. Hoping in many ways to never know how well it works!

      Lezyne Pump

Great Pump, real easy to use, extremely light, nice color choice.

one con, its not a race friendly type pump as it takes a while to setup.

other wise, it's a great pump in general
