Airflex Pro Knee Guard

Strap into the Leatt Airflex Pro Knee Guard before you head out to crush (or crash) the next local enduro. Designed to split the difference between hard-shell and barely-there pads, the Airflex Pro uses low-profile soft-shell foam to protect the front, top, and sides of your knees without restricting your pedaling prowess.

The 3D molded gel impact pad is perforated to improve cooling and moisture-wicking airflow, and it’s stuck to a sleeve made of Airmesh and Moisture Cool fabrics to keep the undersides of your knees dry. There’s also silicone printing in key areas of the sleeve, so your pads stay where they belong and not around your ankles.

  • Slim knee pads strike a balance between protection and pedaling ability
  • Pre-curved 3D protection pad fits perfectly around your knee cap
  • Anti-odor treatment extends the life of the pads and keeps you comfortable
  • Gel-based pads absorb impact more effectively than foam and pedal well
  • Perforated materials throughout the pad’s construction offer breathability

Great Trail pads

I really like these pads. I bought them in 2020 to replace my TLD speed sleeves. That pad was really comfortable but would not stay in place during a sliding crash and I would end up losing skin. Also, I wanted something a little more stout than just the D30 between me and a whatever I'm crashing into next. The Airflex seemed to check the right boxes. It has been the right mix between comfort and protection for aggressive trail riding. It is light, stays in place and is comfortable. It breathes well on hot days. Let me point out its weaknesses, then you decide if it's right for your ride. - If I ride more than 20 miles in them I get a quarter sized abrasion rash on the top of my knee. So not a great pad for epic XC riders. But I can ride 10-15 miles a day back-to-back with zero problems. - If you plant it hard into a rock you will feel it. It is good protection but no substitute for a solid (hot) downhill pad. - It smells like the rest of my kit. I decided to write this review because yesterday I crashed into a tree. It hurt, but I walked away with no real injury - just the waffle pattern from the pad embedded in the skin over my knee. Should have been much worse. Thanks Leatt!!

Very comfortable.

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very comfortable to wear while riding. My first ride in them was a few miles of climbing. They stayed in place and were comfortable enough that I really didn’t pay attention to them. Sizing was spot on with the chart. If you’re near the bottom end of the measurement for a size, you may want to size down so they have compression and stay up. I had one fall into some wet dirt and it filled in all the little holes in the armor. Easy to clean with water in the sink. I personally got these for trail riding. Nothing crazy, no big jumps or gaps. Most of the trails around here require a few miles of climbing and then descending back down to the trailhead. I wanted something I could wear while pedaling that would offer some protection in the event of a crash understanding that I don’t do anything extreme. I think these fit the bill and I’m very happy with them.

are these sold singly, or as a set of 2?

Hi Benjamin these are sold as a set/pair. Package will contain one left and one right guard.
