Performance pads for your knees and upper shins.

Instead of doubling up on separate knee and shin pads, pull on the Leatt 3DF Hybrid Enduro Knee Guard when you're heading out for a DH shred session. Larger than a knee pad but shorter than a full-on shin guard, the Hybrid combines soft, pedaling-friendly 3DF knee protection with a rugged 3DF Hard Shell upper shin pad to keep you protected without weighing you down. The sleeve is made from Leatt's wicking and breathable MoistureCool fabric to prevent sweat build up, and the Hybrid's silicone lamination and dual hook-and-loop straps keep it locked in place while you're ripping berms, charging through rock gardens, and sending big ol' gaps.

  • Enduro-ready coverage for your knees and shins
  • Soft,3DF foam on inside absorbs and damps impacts
  • Take the brunt of blows with 3DF hardshell outer
  • Construction offers move coverage than knee pad, less than shin guard
  • Wicking MoistureCool fabric helps keep you from overheating
  • Silicone lamination at top pairs with hook-and-loop strap for secure fit

Great knee Pads

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I would not recommend to anyone who is an endo or cross country rider. These are are more of an DH knee/shin pad and have lots of protection. I do like the extra plastic shin guard, it gives you a little extra if you slip a peddle. Its a little bulky but super durable.

Great Protection

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large / XL

Comfortable and good protection. Bought them for this years Rumble in the Concrete Jungle race down the kayak channels at the U.S. Whitewater Center. Good choice as I took a fall in practice on the concrete and came out with nary a scratch thanks to these. Have had them out trail riding a couple of times since and they stayed in place and were remarkably comfortable. I would highly recommend these.

Almost perfect, but a little off

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These failed for two primary reasons: started tearing during a crash, and slipped during crash and slip during normal use. I really wanted to replace my old huge 661 Kyle Straits, and get a little bit more shin protection without have full leg armor...these seemed perfect. They do look great, and they pretty low profile for aggressive pads. However, after 2 crashes, the strap on the rear mesh already tore, which makes me wonder how long the wrap-around mesh will last on crashes. The other issue is that they need to be pulled up quite often...even after the crashes. I have pretty small shins, but big thighs...and they start sliding down. The straps are also already maxed out wrapping around my leg (I'm 5'7" and bought the small size) so any stretching of the straps will require some stitch work.

The feel is pretty good though...they aren't flush on the knee, so there's a bit of room in the kneecap area but you get used to it.

All that being said, they are being sent back for warranty since they already torn after a handfull of use. All I'm saying is my old cheap Kyle Straits don't have a tear in the material...after 5 years of dh abuse and crashes. And the Kyle Straits never ever slipped off. It's unfortunate they tore so easily and slip, because the design is spot on.
