Great fit!

Was concerned about about the narrow(race) toe box but these were surprisingly comfortable out of the box. I have a wide foot coupled with metatarsalgia. Shimano wide shoes hurt my feet but the lakes are footbed super stiff yet comfortable.

The Lake size guide seems to be inaccurate. Size 11 Mens length is not met in the 44mm length shoe.

Not extra wide

Build quality appears to be perfect and built like a tank. Lake size guide on length appears dead on. Measured foot length at 277 with great accuracy and added the 5mm per the guide to get 282. Size guide says 44.5 so ordered that. I was able to push foot forward in the shoe to get the toes to touch the end but doubt they’d touch unless walking down hill. So far so good but now the width. Measured 112 mm accurately with full body weight on the one foot with one side against a wall and a point marker to widest point. Lake size guide says 111.2 for extra wide. I measured the insole width at 101 mm (photo)and my foot hurt immediately. How are these extra wide? I can feel inside with my hand to see the insole touches the leather upper. And this leather is tough as advertised and isn’t moving for your foot. No way! Shame on Lake. As always the folks at CC are awesome and made the return easy.
