Why We Like The CX332 Cycling Shoe

Sitting second only to Lake's customizable CX402 shoes, the CX332 Men's Cycling Shoes live up to their race-worthy reputation. Lake uses kangaroo leather to craft the upper, prized for its durability and suppleness for a fit that molds to your foot as you ride.

Over the top, a dual Boa closures further enhance foot retention and ensures that not a watt is wasted when you crank on the pedals. By employing two Boa dials, Lake enables you to keep your heel locked down, without requiring undue pressure on the forefoot. And as you already know, that means better blood flow, and greater comfort.

Underfoot, Lake's CX/TX Race last is a little narrower in the toe box and heel than the Competition last found on Lake's CX237 for a streamlined, glove-like fit that minimizes excess foot movement and prevents hot spots. Combined with a feathery light and stiff full carbon fiber sole, and you have a shoe that efficiently transfers every watt of power output into the pedals.

Do not buy the all-white microfiber

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Bought the Clarino White/White Microfiber color to replace a smaller pair of CX332s. Nothing indicates the shoe is different, but instead of being made out of Lake’s standard high-end kangaroo leather, it’s made out of super cheap leather that squeaks and is very uncomfortable. Realizing I paid $450 for what fits like a Walmart cycling shoe. Stick with the other colors and the shoe is great. Competitive Cyclist - the listing for the shoes says kangaroo leather, no matter what color option you pick, this is inaccurate advertising I would like a refund.

No ventilation mesh, scorching hot

I do not think any serious rider has ridden such an unventilated shoe, not recently. even previous iterations had a significant mesh cooling area. NOT THESE. Above 15 C, expect to get warm. Really warm. Sweaty. Avove 23 C, scorching hot, and loose 1-3 km hr average vs any top tier competitor. That much... Inner ? black polyester liner. Plastic = heat. 900 kms to date, two summer days, unwearable except maybe fall.

Way small and obviously used

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Runs Small. I'm typically a US Men's size 10.5 but went with the 11 (44) to be safe and these fit more like a 10. I even measured my foot and added a half size. Also, the pair I got in the mail was obviously a returned item because they were scuffed up, and one of the BOA closure dials didn't work. I'm going back to Sidi's, that was a lame experience.

Great Shoe

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
10

These are the best cycling shoes I have owned. They are stiff and allow good power transfer. The two Boa dials allow you to maintain a good fit throughout the ride. They look great. I got the US size 10 (which is also their version of a size 43). I typically wear a 9.5 M running sneaker but can sometimes require a 9.5 W. The size 10 in this shoe allowed just enough room for basic orthotic insoles. At first, I worried that they would be too snug in the toe box. After a few rides they loosened up and now fit perfectly with regular-to-thin socks.
