CX238 Cycling Shoe

Lake evolves the CX237 to the new CX238 with updates to improve the longevity and performance of this long-time favorite road racing shoe. With their competition last, dual BOA closure, and full-grain leather upper, the CX238 feels every bit as luxurious as Lake’s highest-level shoes.

The CX238 uses Lake’s CX Competition Last for optimal power transfer and comfort. Specifically designed for high-cadence and high-output riding, the Competition last has a tighter heel for a better fit and added room in the toe box to allow for foot expansion under hard efforts. Lake’s Race carbon fiber sole provides the stiffness we need for better power transfer and durability, with plenty of cleat position adjustability.

The CX238 has a redesigned upper with added panels to improve durability without sacrificing weight. A panel at the heel and a rubber bumper at the toe protect from prematurely wearing out the full-grain leather upper, which has mesh panels and venting to improve cooling. The dual Boa closure provides an enveloping fit and allows us to cinch down our heel for greater efficiency, without having to over-tighten on our forefoot.
