Stand out.
The Knog Oi Bike Bell has garnered a pretty big buzz as of late, and it's easy to see why. With a standout design that tucks stealthily close to your bars, the Oi is a unique way to add some noise potential to your bike. Knog claims this bell sounds "like an angel playing a glockenspiel", and while we can't confirm any heavenly associations, we can say that this bell projects a bright, crisp, ear-pleasing sound while hovering cleanly around your handlebars.
The small size Oi is compatible with 22.2mm bars, while the large Oi fits bars ranging from 23.8 up to 31.8mm in diameter.
- A unique bell with clean, minimalist styling
- Size options to fit bars ranging from 22.2 up to 31.8mm

Looks great but fails
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- True to size
When it works, it sounds amazing. Unfortunately, that's only about 10% of the time due to the poor design that turns most of the "dings" into "doinks" that fail to project. Have one for each bike and they both failed, one even had a spring break! Backcountry has some other great options, pick one of those!

Nice design but cheaply made.

I'm a fan of the low profile design but the spring in the bell flicker part broke off after just a few rides. I wouldn't recommend this item.

Save your money ....
- Familiarity:

I give it a ten for looks and one durability and MTB practicality. I bought 5 on Knog’s Kick starter campaign. Poor quality spring and plastic bits. Not loud enough to be helpful on the trail. Buy something else

This bell sounds like the voice of an angel! My mom got one for Christmas and I needed one for myself. It is not very loud, but sounds amazing when you ring it, j think I got it mostly for my own satisfaction rather than for a real function.

Absolute garbage of a bell. The spring is made out of the cheapest stuff china has to offer. Do not buy these if you want it to last.

Used this on my kid's bike and it works great. I do think the bell is too quite for regular use.

Sweet bell!

I have these on 6 of my bikes... Light, and nearly invisible on the bike, the smaller ones seem louder than the large ones. The large ones seem to ring louder if the clamp isn't really tight. (Also keep them away from sound-damping cables.) Having said that, I came up on a horse and rider yesterday on my road bike, (Large diameter bell approaching at about 18mph) and rang it twice while... The horse heard the first ring, and the equestrian heard the second.

Copper in Small
I saw this on my friends bike and thought it was so unique that I liked it but she purchased it on vacation. So when I saw think here I quickly bought it in Copper. The tone is nice and pleasant but still attention grabbing. It is not loud like other bike alarms, which is what I liked about it. Overall great product! And I hope Backcountry continues to sell these!

The sound of silence

Got this during the kickstarter campaign. Think of it as a beautiful piece of sculpture or jewelry for your bike. It does not make any noise. It certainly cannot warn pedestrians or cars of your imminent approach. My dogs didn't even react to it. Unless your bike is demanding that you put a ring on it, pass on this.

The bell is too quite
The bell looks cool, but it is not loud enough to warn people you are approaching.

might work for a bike path but durability is zero. i put on multiple bikes and they have all falling apart.

Very Light but Pointless

I bought one of these bells for each of my bikes during the Kickstarter campaign. They are terrible. You have to get the thumb-flick perfectly executed in a perpendicular line away from the bell. If you don't, you get a muffled ding and might even twist the spring-loaded lever. Then you'll need to straighten it out to ring again and that means pulling over to do so without risk. If you do manage that perfect thumb-flick, you'll get a very nice-sounding ring that is audible to about 4 feet away. Good luck warning anyone with that.

Worst bell ever!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I did the Kickstarter for this bell. It's an "amazing looking" bell. But in use, it's terrible. You can barely hear it yourself on your own bike. No one is going to hear this bell when you ring it. I tried it numerous times on the trails. It's pure junk. I guarantee you will be disappointed. DO NOT BUY!

Minimalist, not the loudest

A really sleek product that fits nicely on the handlebars. Its nice for me since I'm just looking for something pretty basic, but definitely isnt the loudest bell out there.

Great idea, but just too quiet. Tried two and sent both back.

Still Looks Cool

Not as loud as I was hoping but it looks great on my bars. It for sure does the job but if you're looking for the loudest bell on the market I would have to tell you to take a pass on this bad boy.

Disappointed

Bought 2 and neither of them work, all they do is a muffled very quiet and dull ping that nobody can hear.

Are there plans to carry the large bell to fit 31.8mm bars?

Too Quiet
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
From an aesthetic design viewpoint this is a neat little gizmo. It looks cool and takes up little room on the bar. It is, however, fairly quiet and is therefore not that useful for my purposes. I replaced it with a 'spurcycle bell' and was much happier.

Hey there, I'm sorry this didn't work out for you. This is one of the cheapest bells we sell, I'd recommend looking into a more expensive bell if you're looking for a long lasting bell.
