Rapido Helmet
The Kask Rapido Helmet may be the Italian brand’s entry level model, but it certainly doesn’t skimp on features. From the generous venting, to the sculpted styling, the only thing that says “value” about this helmet is the price tag. Not to mention that it’s made in Italy, which undoubtedly adds to the Rapido’s pleasing look.
The Rapido keeps your head cool with 24 air-channeling vents that effectively evacuate heat when you’re working up a sweat. The EPS foam core is permanently bonded to a polycarbonate shell, which enhances the helmet’s durability. And the click wheel adjustment system allows for fine tuning of the fit, and a secure hold on your head.
The Kask Rapido Helmet is available in two sizes, from Medium, to Large, and in the colors Black, Red, and White.
- Kask's lightweight and highly-ventilating helmet that doesn't cost a fortune
- 24 vents positioned for maximum airflow efficiency to keep you cooler
- Up ’n’ Down fit system is easily adjustable and secure
- Multi In-Moulding shell technology offers protection and durability
- A host of colors match bikes and team kits

Great looking lid with one (major) issue
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Fit:
- True to size
Great-looking, Italian-made, budget-friendly helmet with one fatal flaw: the oversize rear retention cradle interferes with ends of sunglasses making this a non-starter for me. No amount of adjustment would fix this for any pair of eyewear I tried, normal eyeglasses included. Over, under, loosened retention etc. - all resulted in either poor helmet fit, discomfort or sunglasses falling forward. Thought of modifying a cheap pair of shades by trimming 1 cm off arms just so I could wear this, but decided it wasn't worth it. Otherwise I'd rate the fit/comfort pretty good, not quite as comfortable as my Giro Foray. With my 56CM head size I'm usually at the bottom range of most size mediums, making some models look more bulbous on me; the Rapido doesn't and has a more streamlined, closer to head fit. Shame because I really wanted to like this helmet-it's easily one of the best-looking models I've tried on. Hoping Kask eventually get this issue sorted someday, as apparently I'm not alone with eyewear problems based on other reviews.

I can second the comment about sunglasses (purchased this at my LBS, not CC). The only ones that fit for me were my normal daytime sunglasses with the curved ends, which turned out to be okay because I'm using this as a commuter helmet, so those are the sunglasses I'd be using with this helmet. But the "sports" style sunglasses with the straight-back arms...none of my existing ones works with this helmet due to that issue mentioned in the original comment.
