Kali Protectives' Chakra Child Helmet keeps young riders safe with an ultra-lightweight in-mold polycarbonate shell and an EPS liner. This means the Chakra's construction is the same as adult helmets, and not taped like the common, less-expensive process.
Sized to fit 48 to 54cm craniums, Kali's Chakra Kids' helmet has a shape similar to modern mountain bike lids, with extended coverage off the back. And like the adult models, this helmet features adequate ventilation and an integrated visor.

Runs very small

Color, materials, and construction look good for a helmet at this price, but I had to return it because it runs very small compared to the size chart. My son's head measures 54cm (this helmet's upper limit) and it barely sat on top of his head. If your kid's head is bigger than 50cm, I recommend a different model.
