Why We Like The Quincy Carbon CC Rival Gravel Bike

A sister brand to Santa Cruz that's more commonly known for its mountain bikes, Juliana comes forth with the Quincy Carbon CC Rival Gravel Bike. This bike features a carbon frame shared with Santa Cruz's renowned Stigmata, but the Quincy is all about long miles, bikepacking, and gravel grinding to the extreme. Juliana imagines this bike for riding backroads and mountain passes in Northern California, desert dwellings in Utah, and forest paths in Virginia. It's the only bike you need if you want to forgo having a five-bike arsenal in the garage. The Quincy's adventurous spirit is backed by a variety of features like bottle cage bosses and mudguard mounts, plus plenty of clearance for equipping this bike with everything it needs to tackle the rigors of winter riding.

The Quincy's revamped carbon layup imparts knowledge from hardtail mountain bikes like Santa Cruz's Highball, which means we're witnessing improved compliance and a smoothed-out ride. The Quincy CC Fork uses that same carbon for additional stiffness and strength, plus 12mm thru-axles for a gravel-specific option that improves ride quality. This bike's robust features ensure confidence and comfort for off-the-map riding and all-day adventures. Quincy builds are available with 700c wheels, but with clearance to run wide tires on both, with 45mm and 650b x 2.1in, respectively. While we appreciate the simple single-ring drivetrain that comes standard with the Quincy, the frame can also accommodate a dual chainring setup if so desired by the rider. We appreciate that Juliana equips the Quincy with powerful hydraulic disc brakes that ensure capable stopping power no matter the conditions, and no matter how fast we're rolling. And, a comfortable geometry with precision handling and reactivity means we can spend all day riding without a hitch.

*Due to unprecedented demand in the global supply chain and the bike industry over the last 18 months, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be minor. If you have any questions, reach out to a Gearhead by chatting online or calling 1-888-276-7130.
