Scrub AMP Cycling Shoe
Working constantly at improving the riding experience, ION hits the proverbial nail on the head with the freshly updated Scrub AMP flat pedal mountain bike shoe. Fumbling around for pedal grip when the trail gets chattery or when you're leaning bar-end to dirt in a berm is frustrating at the very least. So, Ion uses an updated SupTraction sole with a positive and negative tread profile that's focused firmly on improving traction. As you're speed-checking to line up for the downhill chicane, the updated negative-tread profile of the sole slots the pins perfectly in place to maintain traction with the pedal.
Adding to downhill confidence are reinforced rubber toe-boxes with ToeTal_Protection that protect against harder foliage and pedal hits that spring up as things get a little loose in the forest. ION feels that the way up the mountain is just as important as the way down, and the Scrub AMP's positive tread adds grip when you're huffing your sled back to the top. Pre-shaped heel cups lock onto your heels and hold tight for a precise fit as you battle positive grades. And the sneaker-style lace-up design seamlessly transitions you back into the pavement society at the end of the ride.

Love the Ion Scrub Amp shoe. Compared to other shoes I’ve loved before, this shoe is only slightly less stiff in the sole (8 out of 10). It sticks to the pedal better than those previous shoes. The Ion hugs your foot and is extremely comfortable for longer rides or lounging post-ride, while drinking a beverage at a socially safe distance with your crew. I’ve done the dreaded hike-a-bike up some steep rock faces and wasn’t at all concerned about slipping, as the sole gives enough feedback to know what’s going on at all times, on and off the pedal. This is by far my current go-to shoe for mountain biking in any conditions.
