K-Traze AMP Zip Knee Pad

When you're sitting on your tailgate, shoes on, kit dialed, and ready to ride, it can take some serious commitment to protection to talk yourself into taking off your shoes to slide on knee pads. We don't think body armor should be inconvenient, and with Ion's K-Traze AMP Zip Up Knee Pads it doesn't have to be. Skip taking off the kicks, and simply zip on these pads for protection on the trail. The K-Traze AMP is built to be lightweight, with thin and flexible SAS-TEC padding that easily soaks up light impact and abrasion. Furthering the lightweight comfort, Ion crafts the body of the pads with Super Perforator Neoprene that holds the fit snug, but lets your skin breathe, and Fine Mesh panels to quickly move moisture away from your skin, so you can stay dry and comfortable when you're working your way to the top to earn your descent.

On the Money

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

These pads have all of the features you can ask for and blend the line of a trail and dh pad. I guess some people might call that enduro?! They're comfortable to pedal in, but offer more protection than a sleeve pad. Would still consider them lightweight and breathable. THE ZIPPER IS SO CLUTCH. Being able to put your pads on or pull them off with your shoes on comes in handy a lot more than you'd think. They might fit a little bit big, but I also have pretty skinny quads and calves, so I went for the small and after a few rides they stretched just to where I need them. Worth the money and on the money!
