K-Traze AMP Zip Knee Pad

When you're sitting on your tailgate, shoes on, kit dialed, and ready to ride, it can take some serious commitment to protection to talk yourself into taking off your shoes to slide on knee pads. We don't think body armor should be inconvenient, and with Ion's K-Traze AMP Zip Up Knee Pads it doesn't have to be. Skip taking off the kicks, and simply zip on these pads for protection on the trail. The K-Traze AMP is built to be lightweight, with thin and flexible SAS-TEC padding that easily soaks up light impact and abrasion. Furthering the lightweight comfort, Ion crafts the body of the pads with Super Perforator Neoprene that holds the fit snug, but lets your skin breathe, and Fine Mesh panels to quickly move moisture away from your skin, so you can stay dry and comfortable when you're working your way to the top to earn your descent.

  • Zip-on pads that add convenience to protection
  • Full-length zipper makes gearing up a breeze
  • SAS-TEC padding is light, soaks up hits and abrasion
  • Let skin breathe with Super Perforator Neoprene
  • Fine mesh allows for moisture transfer and dries quickly

No reason not to bring them along.

I've put it through the wringer

I normally hate knee pads, but a few recent crashes have made me change my stance. I have tried several pads but I have struggled to find some I like enough to bring along with me on a ride. These are super easy to take on and off, but they are so comfy, I don't think i would ever want to take them off once they are on. The zipper is covered so it doesn't rub at all. As someone with big legs, I struggle to get knee pads to stay put. These stay right where you want them. It might be important to note that when putting them on, it is easier to put them on over your calves first, zip them up, then slide them into position.

Comfortable protection and easy on/off

I've used it several times

I don't usually ride with pads so I was dreading finding a pair as in the past the styles I've tried have all been very uncomfortable and hard to get on. I have pretty large legs but the K-Traze AMP Zip Knee Pad were easy to get on with the zipper and once on they stayed where they should. I don't have to adjust them when riding and don't even notice I have them on once on the trail. Highly recommended.
