Making Freehubs Sexy.

Normally, we don’t consider freehubs to be all that exciting. It’s true that quick engagement can improve performance, and some freehubs make really cool sounds, but as a whole they aren’t the first thing that comes to mind when we consider lusty components. That may have changed with the Industry Nine Torch Mountain & Fat freehub.

The new Torch retains I9’s industry-standard 3-degree pawl engagement, but doubles the number of engagement points (from 60 to 120). Also, the new freehub drops an incredible 100 grams. The new freehub also decreases drag and makes service easier than ever, with captured pawls and cool springs that allow tool-free maintenance.
