Enduro 305 29in Super Boost Wheelset

When 29ers first appeared, the larger wheels' higher attack angle made them an XC favorite, but their relatively noodly demeanor meant we shied away from trails where tracking through terrain and stiffness really mattered. Industry Nine's Enduro 305 29in Super Boost Wheelset proves why noodliness no longer factors into consideration and the latest round of enduro sleds are rolling on wagon wheels. Not only is the rim wider (which makes it stiffer), but the rear hub's Super Boost 157mm width further stiffens the rear wheel while the standard Boost 110mm up front provides confidence to stick lines while tracking through rock gardens. The extra space in the back is also why so many 29ers are able to run deeper travel and still fit tires in the 2.4 - 2.5in range—standard requirements for racing at the top level.

The story's not all at the hubs, though. By increasing the rim's inner width from 26mm to 30.5mm, the Enduro 305 delivers exceptional traction by accommodating larger volume tires on the trail. Wider rims flatten the tire profile, with leads to a less bulbous tire with increased sidewall support and allows you to drop the pressure for better grip on unruly terrain. Another major benefit is reduced sidewall burping, meaning you won't have to constantly check tire pressure when you're rallying through rough stuff. And because they're significantly wider, you'll revel in the increased stiffness and support when you're launching over boulders, bursting out of berms, and sticking sketchy landings.

This wheelset uses I9's beloved Torch hubs, whose three-degree engagement and nearly instantaneous response have made them the darlings of high-end factory wheels and custom handmades alike. These particular Torch Hubs meet Super Boost standards, with the front and rear sitting at a beefy 110 and 157mm in width, respectively. Ultimately, Boost hub widths equate to uncompromising stiffness when you're flicking your bike through intricate rock gardens, jumping out of corners, and cranking up steep mountains for the sweet downhill on the other side.
